Works of prolific Russian-American writer Isaac Asimov include popular explanations of scientific principles, The Foundation Trilogy (1951-1953), and other volumes of fiction.

Isaac Asimov, a professor of biochemistry, wrote as a highly successful author, best known for his books.

Asimov, professor, generally considered of all time, edited more than five hundred books and ninety thousand letters and postcards. He published in nine of the ten major categories of the Dewey decimal classification but lacked only an entry in the category of philosophy (100).

People widely considered Asimov, a master of the genre alongside Robert Anson Heinlein and Arthur Charles Clarke as the "big three" during his lifetime. He later tied Galactic Empire and the Robot into the same universe as his most famous series to create a unified "future history" for his stories much like those that Heinlein pioneered and Cordwainer Smith and Poul Anderson previously produced. He penned "Nightfall," voted in 1964 as the best short story of all time; many persons still honor this title. He also produced well mysteries, fantasy, and a great quantity of nonfiction. Asimov used Paul French, the pen name, for the Lucky Starr, series of juvenile novels.

Most books of Asimov in a historical way go as far back to a time with possible question or concept at its simplest stage. He often provides and mentions well nationalities, birth, and death dates for persons and etymologies and pronunciation guides for technical terms. Guide to Science, the tripartite set Understanding Physics, and Chronology of Science and Discovery exemplify these books.

Asimov, a long-time member, reluctantly served as vice president of Mensa international and described some members of that organization as "brain-proud and aggressive about their IQs." He took more pleasure as president of the humanist association. The asteroid 5020 Asimov, the magazine Asimov's Science Fiction, an elementary school in Brooklyn in New York, and two different awards honor his name.

Con mi deseo de introducirme más en la ciencia ficción, en 2019 me leí Estoy en Puertomarte sin Hilda y otros cuentos del mismo autor que nos ocupa, que si bien me agradó sus relatos no me llegaron a impactar como otras obras del mismo género que me vienen a la mente como Dune, (novela que me leí este mismo año y no me canso de recomendar). Pero no quiero irme por las ramas que me conozco.

Relatos de Robots son, como su título ya indica, una serie de relatos en los que el foco principal son los robots y la relación de estos con la humanidad. Me ha sorprendido mucho la humanidad y sensibilidad que desprende Isaac Asimov en este recopilatorio, en especial con Robble y El hombre del bicentenario, historias que debo destacar como mis favoritas. A mucho os sonará este último debido a la película pero os aseguro que a pesar de los años que tiene el relato no tiene que temer en nada a la película a pesar de su indudable calidad.

Ha sido un reencuentro muy agradable y cálido con Isaac Asimov —con lágrimas incluidas, todo sea dicho de paso—, espero que no sea el último.

Definitivamente voy a investigar y adentrarme en la bibliografía de Asimov porque tanto la forma de narrar como los relatos en sí me han parecido geniales.

Es increíble como su escritura es del siglo 20 y parece sacado de siglos que nunca imaginaria, habla del futuro como si fuera real y lo estuviera viviendo, definitivamente una increíble imaginación y sus cuentos son muy entretenidos.

Brillante a más no poder. A día de hoy nos sorprendemos y admiramos productos (muy buenos) como Black Mirror, pero Isaac Asimov fue capaz, 50 años antes de nuestra época (en la que se ha dado el mayor boom tecnológico de la historia), de prever y dilucidar la importancia que iba a tener (y está empezando a tener cada vez más) la tecnología y la IA en nuestra sociedad. Algunos relatos son conmovedores, otros, como "El hombre bicentenario", son obras maestras de la literatura universal.

Unos cuentos que se acaban enseguida de lo buenos que son. Destacan los datos científicos sembrados por toda la obra, la institución de las tres leyes de la robótica y cómo se las arregla el autor para insertar los problemas de la raza humana en los robots. Son relatos llenos de ternura, imaginación y, en una segunda lectura, miedo.
