Running Against The Wind: The Transformation Of A New Age Medium And His Warning To The Church

Rate this book
As a kid, Brian experimented with Ouija boards and Tarot cards. After time in the Air Force, he became consumed with the occult. Later, he developed his skill for Transcendental Meditation and eventually had his own spirit guides. Through a series of events in his life, Brian was radically saved out of darkness, only to find some of the same practices he had used as a medium were being introduced into the Christian church as forms of legitimate meditation and spirituality. If you have ever wondered about Reiki, labyrinths, contemplative prayer, yoga, breath prayer and more, Running Against the Wind is a powerful must-read! Discover how these mystical and New Age practices tie in with some of today's most influential ministries, organizations and churches including Purpose-Driven Life and the Emerging Church movement.

Eye opening account of the allure of New Age teachings and its dangerous influence on the Christian church. Christians should know and be armed against the “principalities and powers” (Ephesians 6:12).

I felt that the author glorified his life of sin a titch too much. His history in the new age is important though to the conclusions he makes concerning eastern practices that have crept into the Church.

Truly amazing and scary story about a former medium/psychic who got saved and tells his story about how mediums and psychics are really possessed by demons! Yikes!

Title is pretty self explanatory. How the church is being deceived and embracing many many new age "christian" authors and practices. Another must read for any biblical Christian!
