Rate this book
St. Petersburg was the home to about 25,000 Finns and the second largest settlement after Helsinki. This book studies their life in Russia in the 19th century, their migration from Russia in the period between the two world wars, and the political circumstances which motivated this exodus. About one million Finns left Russia and spread over the world. The book also studies the pre-history of the Russian-Finnish war of 1939.
