Mildly amusing anecdotes about life in the Niagara Peninsula. He definitely overdoes it on curling's supposed lack of activity. I was surprised to read the chapter about going to Japan with a men's basketball team. The team, POITS played for many years in the Niagara Basketball Association and routinely defeated my team, the DJBs.
My buddy the book trader gave me this thinking I would enjoy the curling stories that lead off this book of stories. Nice try. Thomas' attempts at curling humour fell mostly flat on this curlers eyes, except for the curling rules list which did give me a good giggle, I found the other curling stories lame at best. Didn't bother to read the rest and gave this book to our curling club, likely to inflict some damage on another fellow curler.
