Easily a 4.5 read.
Solid writing. Suspenseful with intermittent outbreaks of gunfire & fisticuffs.
1st novel by author Ray Hogan I’ve read. Tough and lean prose.
No time in this novel for the protagonist to waste on introspective passages filled with cornball wistfulness.
This guy’s gotta get to Yuma with his prisoner. Fast.
Solid, hardboiled Western action.

This is my final review for a spell. Entering hospital for surgery tomorrow. I’ll be laid up for days. Hopefully on feel-good pain meds.

Adios.
