I honestly could not make it to the end of this book. I chose it with the high expectation that it would be similar to bell hooks’ books on love which are some of my all time favorites. Not even close. It is heavily based on the subconscious, affirmations, and some pretty far-fetched theories about how our trauma from birth is the root of our problems in our relationship with ourselves and others... The way it’s written comes across so corny and I just could not take it seriously. Within the first few pages she talks about how she “became enlightened” and you can tell in her writing that she thinks so. I usually am not so quick to dismiss affirmation and positive thinking in the general, but her approach is just so hard for me to get into. Based on the general ideas and concepts I thought this would be my kind of book, but it was a major let down.

Dont recommend reading if it’s past the 1980s. Some nice insights but overall weird timewarp read

This was a strange book out of context. It is following a form of life transformation practice called 'rebirthing' which was popular at the end of the 70s beginning of the 80s. But even out of context there was some good advice in it. All very interesting.

I really liked this book. It made me stop and think about my personal history and apply it to my present relationship patterns. The mind is a mystery and it always amazes me how our subconcious plays a very very very active role in our lives.

Es interesante la forma en que se narra renacer a través de la respiración, es mágico que todos entendiéramos el sentido de tener buenas relaciones partiendo de amarnos a nosotros mismos, este libro lo explica con claridad!
