One of the bestselling authors of all time, his books have sold over 500 million copies, translated into 33 languages. Generations of terrified readers and moviegoers have dubbed Stephen King the "Master of Horror," but he is much, much more. This is a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into King's private world.
If you're a fan of Stephen King, I would recommend you not bother with this. Boiling down King's whole life down to thirty pages should mean you already know most of the stuff covered in this little pamphlet. Read a proper biography instead.
A quick, short retelling of some of the key highlights of Stephen King's life, in graphic novel format. This is a great read for King fans, though it doesn't really tell them anything they don't already know. The story covers his childhood poverty, falling for Tabitha, early struggle as a writer, alcoholism, sobering up, prolific writing, and the near fatal accident he had.
While it doesn't have much depth, that is excusable because this isn't meant to be a detailed biography. Do read this for the fantastic artwork - the likeness of King is phenomenal!
THE quote from the book: 'I have the heart of a small boy... I keep it in a jar on my desk.' Wow, what imagination! What power to horrify!
Another addendum to the ever expanding mythology of Stephen King. Nothing more than the already well known facts from King's biography, but lovingly done. The Rock bottoms frame won me over.
