I think Double Dork Diaries was great and I was happy I didn't have to buy the books separately.Nikki is a very funny and always seems to embarrass herself.I like it when she meets Chloe and Zoe because it's better when she has friends.I also like the way she hates McKenzie if I were Nikki I would hate her to.She always thinks she can do when she can't like in the second book when she has to do three things at once.I think this was a great book and I would definitely recommend it to kids.

I bought this book for my little sister, but I took an interest in it when I knew that the author and me shared the same profession .. I wanted to tap into her mind, to see if we think alike, and maybe share more than jobs and tacky interests. But sadly I did not like the book as though I've written it. And if I did. I wouldn't exactly be proud of my creation. Its a teen book and I think she hit that with a limit. As in no adult could enjoy it on any level... Too bad really. I love rachel russell the attorney, but not the author.

So i read dork diaries and this was a double. It's a book for kids, 9th-10th. But altogether its really funny to read. Sometimes a light read is all you need, and i much needed this. I could totally relate to Nikki, her awkward moments, her ups and down. Wish i read this while i was still in junior high or something. If you don't have time, and you want to read something funny and comic genre, i recommend this.

I don't know about you, but I've heard very conflicting thoughts about the Dork Diaries series. Primarily, I find adults (teachers, librarians and parents) hate them, and students love them. I thought I'd check it out for myself.... and definitely fit into the teacher category.

I did not enjoy these books.

It is basically the diary of a young girl, Nikkie, at middle school. She has two best friends who try to help her through everything and one enemy who is the most popular girl at the school called Mackenzie. It is all about Nikkie trying to live with , two best friends, one enemy, one crush, one ANNOYING little sister and middle school. I picked up this book because I wanted to know what other people think about going to school and having a sibling. In other ways, what troubles you have in your life. So I finished this book because as I kept going further and further into the book my mind settled in a world of imagination and when that happens you know it is hard to stop. I think Marcus and Adrian mostly would enjoy this book because in my opinion on those two they hate school. As a guess. Also I would recommend this book to Aiyana also because it probably her type of genre. Unless, she already read it......

I'd heard parents, teachers and librarians warn me against this one. I had 9-12 year old girls declaring it was amazing.

Maybe it's because it's so far removed from Australian middle school culture, but I just found this so incredibly difficult to get through. If any of my students behaved the same was as any of the characters in this book, we'd be having serious discussions. There's so much bitchiness, and there's enough of that in the world as it is at the moment!

Instead? Give your girls Friday Barnes or Scarlet & Ivy.

This dork diaries book 1 and 2 compiled into one is an overwhelming young-adult novel by Rachel Renee Russell about Nikki's not-so-fabulous life. It's really a kind of teenish and relatable in some ways and it is somewhat entertaining to read by young-adult readers and it will surely make you turn the pages on and on and go nonstop reading just like I have. I finished this two books in just a day or maybe 2-3 hours only 'coz I read it on and on. Thanks a lot author for this nice book :)

I got this book as a present for my 10th birthday. Although I finished it that day, looking back in the series is..sad. I enjoyed the book at first. When I read it again though and the second one. There was too much "squee" and a "nerd girl" vs "popular kids" I'm sorry but I'm 12 and going on to 7th grade, I wouldn't read these books again. The plot was 2D and the characters weren't very interesting to me. I know other people liked it, but I'm not with them
