If I wanted everybody to read one crucial book to better understand Indigenous Australians... it would be this.

I feel bad giving this extremely well-researched book only three stars. It’s a monumental achievement, it's well written, and it completely exhausts the topic - but also the reader.

A thoroughly researched book on the history of fire on the Australian continent through time. Very informative.
