I can’t actually remember what happened in this book other than there being a confusing love triangle with a super annoying love interest. The synopsis sounded interesting enough, and so did the first few chapters, but after that I got kind of lost and it felt that making myself finish it was torture. It definitely wasn’t for me, but I’m glad others liked it at least!
I read this book 3 years ago and don't remember all of the detail anymore. I've actually kept it on my shelf because I thought I might want to read it again, someday. I remember thinking that sometimes you really don't like the main character, and sometimes that's refreshing in a book.
An incredible poigant book. underated by the book community. Two freinds, very similar to seperate peace in that, but the boys are so alive. Especially Hawthorne, the Gypsy tennis player nazi hater.
