Venus Fall

A civil war on Venus drives the Kyprians to Earth for refuge, where they must acclimate to new surroundings. Once the council decides to adopt the new planet as their own, they consider an interspecies union as the best way to assure a prosperous future. They select a sapient slave named El to fulfill the burden of contact. El is aware of the risk a union carries--the possibility of a fiery death to both species. Onine is the only Kyprian who knows his species’ ultimate truth, and he fears for El. From the moment he sees her, he wants to save her. And the only way for him to do so is to give up his beauty, forego his fire, and become clay like her. An easy task if it were as simple as him changing his form. Unfortunately, she is the one who must be transformed and somehow become Kyprian like him.
