“The Hot Moms Club is doing for moms what Sex and the City did for single women...empowering them.” —Natasha Henstridge Jessica Denay, author of The Hot Mom to Be Handbook and founder of The Hot Moms Club, now brings us The Hot Mom’s Handbook —the ultimate resource for moms who refuse to set aside their sense of style and self from bump to baby and beyond! This book is an absolute must for fans of The Modern Girl’s Guide to Motherhood and The Girlfriend’s Guide to Surviving the First Year —with indispensible advice that hot moms like Courtney Cox, Jennifer Garner, Trista Sutter, Kristi Yamaguchi, and Brooke Burns have already taken to heart!
This was my monthly self help read and it was quick and easy to get through. I liked it. It wasn't ground breaking information but it was a helpful way to remind me to take care of me to be better for me and my family. I would definitely recommend this book to any and ever mom out there.
This is a simple to the point book about how to keep it all together while being a mom. The short, yet inspiring, chapters touch base on how to fit in the necessities of sanity into your daily life. Exercising, eating well, breathing, etc. There is the obvious chapter of taking time out for yourself. I don't have a problem with that but it was a nice brush up. A lot of these chapters might be brush ups but it's a short and reasonable reminder of how you can do it all just in bite size bits.
An easy, breezy read for a new mom. I appreciated the short sections as I juggled reading this book while caring for my newborn. Some of the advice I really appreciated, like the chapters on dealing with difficult people, and traveling with baby. Other advice may be helpful to others, though I'd read it before in many other places (tips on how to simplify your wardrobe). Some tips were eye-roll inducing (wear sexy underpants! OWN your sexiness!) Overall, I'd recommend it to other moms, especially for the ease of reading.
This was an easy read, but nothing terribly original or witty to speak of for a new mother. In fact some of the advice (Make time for yourself! Wear sexy underwear!) was honestly eye-roll inducing.
It's like the people who dispense gem of knowledge like "sleep while your baby is sleeping!" Maybe that works for some, but it sure did not for me.
I read this for book club and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Some of the advice in it would be good for a quick pick-me-up for new young moms, but some of it I thought was kind of stupid. Another thing that bothers me is the use of the word "hot" - it just sounds degrading to me.
This book is so great! My girls got this for me as a mothersday present and there are so many great tips in this book! I couldnt have asked for anything better! I am well on my way to becoming a HOT MOM!
I love this book for when I am in the deep perils of motherhood. It's loaded with lots of great common sense and permission to still take care of myself!!
