Of all the smurf mini storybooks I have read, this is the second one. It’s also my favorite so far. Warning, a spoiler ahead. The fake smurf is none other than Gargamel! Do you know how you can tell he’s the fake smurf? Look closely at the picture on the cover....
With deception and an evil and a life-threatening plot, this story had more tension and therefore felt stronger than the others.

The stars are mainly for nostalgia's sake. I loved the Smurfs as a kid and I think I had a lot of these books (or at least read them) at some point of my obsession.

Gargamel once again tries to do something mean, but fails. *curses, foiled again*

This is a classic Smurfs story that was adapted from the original Belgian comic and was also adapted for the cartoon series (with Hogatha becoming a fake Smurf instead of Gargamel) It is an extremely short and simple story about Gargamel trying to impersonate a Smurf in order to sabotage the village. It can be read in just a couple minutes, The cover has a rare violent image of a smurf wielding am axe and approaching Papa Smurf. It is hard to call this piece a complete story since it is so short and simple, but it could be a great reading introduction for young kids with Smurf loving parents or a nice, very casual revisiting for adults who grew up with the Smurfs,
