Wow. I really loved this book! Of course, I know when I pick up a just about any book written by Lora Leigh, I am going to love it. It has everything I love in a romanctica novel...Super Alpha Hot Hero, Smart Heroine, Interesting Plot and Lots of Steamy Sex...it just doesn't get any better than that.
MacDougal has had to be responsible for and give up his dreams of love and happiness years ago. Losing his parents at a young age, he was determined to raise his sister to be a strong, independent woman. He is like a well-oiled machine with his determination for he and his sister not to be hurt again. Unfortunately for him, this has made him lose sight of love and compassion.
When he finds out his successful sister is reading erotic romances (he thinks romance is just for fairy tales) he is livid. He immediately tries to contact the novelist,Elyiana Richards, to tell her exactly what he thinks of the nonsense she writes of, only to be angered again by her response for him to read one of her books to learn something. Because of Elyiana's attitude his anger grows into an obsession of sorts to show the smart mouthed author a thing about real life. After all in the real world there is no such thing as true love...right?
When he is critically injured and he wakes up from the coma...something is not right. He doesn't remember much of his life, just that he must find Elyiana and make her his.
Elyiana has secretly been infatuated with MacDougal for a long time. Although he infuriates her, he also fasinates her too. Because of her feelings for him, she naturally models her heros after the powerful MacDougal...plus this gives her the opportunity to live out her fantasys with him, even if it is only on paper.
When a familiar man appears on her doorstep insisting they belong together, she is stumped...but as she gets to know the man she only knows as "Mac" she learns there is more to him that meets the eye.
This was such a great read. I borrowed this one from Marion (thanks girl) but, I just ordered my own copy...got to have it on my keeper shelf!
The way the book ended leads me to believe that there will be more of these B.O.B books coming...but I didn't see anything on Ellora's Cave to indicate that the next book has been written...Do any of y'all know???

-Que puedo decir, mas que en realidad es una película porno escrita en libro, no hay contenido ni consistencia, dejan mil cables sueltos, lo único que le importo a la escritora escribir es como comienzan a follar y como terminan de follar, no me engancho para nada... Esta bien redactado, pero queda ahí solo lo bueno... Las escenas de sexo son muy bien descritas y reales, pero cuando todo el libro es prácticamente eso se vuelve aburrido.
-Tengo que empezar diciendo que este es uno de los géneros que más me atrae la atención, me encantó que el libro fuera fácil de leer y al mismo tiempo no se quedara corto en la historia, tiene de todos los tonos, es futurista, romántico, intrigante, apasionado, divertido y me mantuvo atrapada en la historia que es lo importante.
-No soy mucho de lecturas futuristas y así, y menos cuando la verdad es más sexo que historia. He leído otros libros de Lora y la verdad no entiendo que fue lo que sucedió con este.No digo que haya sido horrible, pero si me costó terminarlo y contando que disfruto mucho de la lectura erótica. los personajes tuvieron cada uno lo suyo y la verdad es que se equilibraban bien, la historia bueno, no sé, es rara, no tanto por lo futurista sino por tratarse de maquinas sexuales.
-Me costo un poco al principio debo reconocer... lo futurista no es lo mio jajaj La historia me gustó, no puedo decir que me encantó pero me entretuvo.

Toda la historia se basa en sexo, que raya en lo pornográfico y sin sentido. Me gusta que un libro me trasmita una historia romántica y amorosa aunque haya mucho sexo de por medio.
-BOB es el segundo libro que leo de este género, y para ser sincera ya puedo decir que este no es mi género, y en general no me gustan los libros en los que hay más sexo que historia, y parecía el caso de este libro, en punto de vista personal fue demasiado sexo ...pero creo que los personajes se definieron bien en lo que buscaba cada uno en cuanto a sus intereses, creo que si se hubiera enfocado en desarrollar más la historia que el sexo se hubiera conectado mejor.

Ah, what a lovely book. Always-get-whats-he-wants Male forces himself on a woman (physically and emotionally, in a bad, bad way), stalks her (or haves her stalked), assaults her best friend and makes it clear that he wants to kill the guy, and then drags her away from home against her will. The formerly strong-women gives in and falls in love with the terribly abusive lunk (true love!). People who enjoy seeing women "being put in their place" would like this.

Esta historia no tiene ni pies ni cabeza, no hay trama, desarrollo de los personajes. Nada.
Las historias futuristas siempre me han gustado, pero aquí no tengo idea de lo que estaba leyendo, el libro deja más dudas de las que aclara y no ayuda que sean pocos los momentos donde se dedican a dar una explicación.
Siento que en lugar de una historia romántica esta leyendo el libreto de una mala película porno. Que horror, estos personajes no saben hacer nada más.
Lo único que medio me llamó la atención fue la historia de Amareth con Tael y hasta eso me lo arruinaron al final. Tengo que decir que después de la segunda, me salté todas y cada una de las escenas de sexo, básicamente me leí una 20 páginas.

No soy fácilmente atraída por historias futuristas y lamento decir que esta no fue la excepción. No le encontré un argumento firme a la historia: el libro trata de dos personas, Elyiana y el McDougal, ella es una escritora de lecturas eróticas y él desarrolló un androide que sirve como una potente máquina y juguete sexual. Tras un ataque hacia el McDougal, parte de la memoria de su cerebro es migrada a uno de los androides y una de las pocas cosas que recuerda es a Elyiana… solo que no sabe que su cometido no es satisfacerla sexualmente hasta el cansancio. A partir de ese punto, todo lo que transcurre en el libro es sexo tras sexo. No me malinterpreten, me encantan ese tipos de escenas jajaja, pero esta vez sentí que fue demasiado por más que la temática del libro fuera justamente esa. Me apena que en una sociedad del futuro (y espero que no pase), hayan reemplazado a la figura de la mujer y el hombre y su intimidad por un robot que solo da placer, dejando de lado los sentimientos. Esa es mi visión, quien discrepe es totalmente aceptable!

I give this book a 4 star because I really liked it. I know this book is not for everyone and there was some things that happened in the story that made no sense. That did not bother me overal because it was a futuristic story, something that in this day and time would not happen anyway's. I'd also like to add that I'd rate the sex scenes 5 stars, LMAO, so if you'd like a short scorching futuristic romance story, I'd say give it a try.

The plot is not very developed, but it's coherent, and the story is steamy!! I'm sad though that there doesn't seem to be the sister's story.

I love being able to put aside all else in the world and just focus on a story that has a super hot, alpha male and a heroine that more than holds her own. In the future where romance novels are slowly re-emerging into society, Elyiana's choice of character resembles Mac (The MacDougal) despite his irritation with such nonsense. But when an assassination attempt goes wrong, the only way he escapes is into a realistic sex-bots. Memories torn asunder, he is off to take revenge against the woman he thinks is behind his troubles. An interesting plot and off the charts sexiness.

Las historias futuristas siempre me han gustado, pero aquí no tengo idea de lo que estaba leyendo, el libro deja más dudas de las que aclara y no ayuda que sean pocos los momentos donde se dedican a dar una explicación.
Siento que en lugar de una historia romántica esta leyendo el libreto de una mala película porno. Que horror, estos personajes no saben hacer nada más aparte de follar, es desesperante. Odio cuando las autoras hacen eso y luego me salen con que lo que sienten es amor eterno, esa mierda se llama LUJURIA. No fastidien ¬¬
No se si es que con la edad me estoy poniendo intolerable pero es que últimamente las historias plagadas de escenas de sexos y tramas vacías me tienen fastidiada. Lo único que medio me llamó la atención fue la historia de Amareth con Tael y hasta eso me lo arruinaron al final. Tengo que decir que después de la segunda, me salté todas y cada una de las escenas de sexo, básicamente me leí una 20 páginas.
Pero no todo es malo, la pluma de Lora es bastante decente. Creo que e nunca había leido a esta autora pero he escuchado cosas buenas de sus libros y realmente estoy esperando que lo siguiente que lea de ella sea mucho mejor.

Bueno no sé si me gusto o me disgusto. La verdad la historia es mucho sexo. Me confundí porque a veces me gustaba y a veces no me gustaba. Una historia corta con unos personajes que ya tiene una historia. Los protagonistas son muy apasionados, Mac es un tirano dominante y arrogante; me gustó un poquito. La chica Ely una escritora de romance erótico, que basa todas sus novelas en un hombre que odia y desea a la vez. Sin embargo, cuando Mac se presenta ante ella en el cuerpo de un robot sexual, no se le resiste para nada. El drama fue muy poco realmente. Me dio mucha curiosidad Amareth, dura y fría, ocultando todos sus sentimientos y sufriendo sola; enamorada del sexy Tael. Hasta se creó un robot igual a él para satisfacerla sexualmente. Quiero leer la historia de esos dos.

Lo voy a decir solo una vez. QUE LIBRO TAN HORRIBLE. Y lo digo porque en mi humilde opinión la historia me parece absurda, o sea absurda no el sentido de "hey, tú, escribes horrible" si no, en el sentido de que la historia a pesar de que pueda ser creíble en ningún momento me convenció y mucho menos hizo titubear mi punto de vista.
Sexo, sexo, sexo, sexo, sexo, sexo y mucho más sexo. NO estoy en contra de esas escenas, porque los cielos saben que eso es lo que a la mayoría de nosotras nos gusta (leer) pero para leer eso, hubiera buscado el kamasutra.
Nosotras las chicas tenemos sentimientos, no solo pensamos en sexo ¬¬

A future world with a brother and sister fighting a war. As Mac is dying from a war wound, his sister decides to put him into a coma and transfer his essence into a robot. When Mac wakes up in the robot body, his memory is faulty and he goes on the run thinking he is in danger. He meets Elyiana and falls in love with her. As his memory slowly returns and he realizes that he is not fully human, he wonders if he will be able to return to his real human body and will Elyiana be able to love his true self.

This was an okay read. Definitely a cheesy, futuristic erotic romance. The sci-fi aspect was actually better than the romance. How Elyiana didn't realize who he was, and that she gave in (sexually) to him within minutes of him breaking into her house was a little far-fetched. The sex scenes were hot and the plot was good, but overall just not done very well.

Not one of my favs for Ms Leigh but likeable story. Hot scenes. Didn't love or hate the characters. They were just sort of there.

This futuristic story was...different. Quite boring at first, it slowly picks up and becomes somewhat interesting.
