Some books entertain, some books inspire—but Home does both effortlessly.

Home follows Nenrot, a woman torn between her grand ambition and her marriage to Uforo, who simply wanted to love and be loved in return. But how does that happen when Nenrot walks out just three months into their marriage? As they navigate their struggles—faith, love, and personal sacrifice—I found myself glued to the pages, wanting to know the why and how. I wasn’t disappointed.

Nenrot felt so real—flawed yet relatable. She’d probably be a "soft life" Instagram babe in real life. And Uforo? Sigh. His devotion was heartwarming. I fell for him easily. I mean, “Home is where you are, Nen.” Felt that one in my toes.

The author did a fantastic job with the pacing. The story was smooth, heartfelt, and full of wisdom. Every chapter had a line that made me pause and reflect. I also loved how the backstories and side characters didn’t overshadow the main ones—they were well interwoven without taking the spotlight. My only small wish? I would have loved to see more of Jumai’s son, as he seemed to fade into the background too soon. But overall, the story flowed beautifully.

If you enjoy books that make you think about love, faith, and purpose, this one is for you!
And a small warning—be prepared for moments where you’ll find yourself talking to the characters like they’re real.
