Not even surprised at the lack of female authors and the few that got mention had things like: "oh but she was hysterical"

The way the author brushes over the Restoration period borders on funny though. I could almost see his horrified face at the "immoralities" of the times 😂 At one point he literally went like: "this period was the most shameful period in the history of English literature"
