I quite enjoyed this book which tells the story of the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich. It is written as fiction and with the perspective that all those involved as partisans were Christian. It's an interesting perspective but one which I rather doubt was true of the time, however given this was published by a Christian publisher it was more subtle than I would typically have expected. After reading the book I was interested enough to look up and learn a little more about the true story. The basic storyline followed seems to be reasonably close to fact at ;east as far as several of the Czesch characters go. I think I would have appreciate the book more if it had some type of afterword that clarified the differences for me or touched on references used in writing the story.

I had memories, from two decades ago, of enjoying this book - at least enough to be willing to buy two more books in the OSS Chronicles. Unfortunately, it apparently didn't age well for me. This time, I was rather non-plussed. It wasn't awful, just not impressive enough to be worth reading again. I won't bother re-reading the sequels.

I don't think I've ever read anything with more exclamation marks or more italicized passages.
