A fascinating book about the history of Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia and the F-14 Tomcat fighter squadrons that were based there in the early 90's. It's full of action photos of Tomcats, aircraft carrier operations, aerial refueling, combat missions, and screaming in low over the Saudi desert. See if you can read the names of the aviators stenciled below the cockpit canopy on the cover photo. One of them, an air wing commander (CAG) at the time of the photo, eventually went on to command at the highest level. This book chronicles Navy jet fighter aviation during its golden age! An enjoyable read for any military aviation buff.
