Becoming the alpha of one's wolf pack—brutal. Keeping the title and your mate alive all at the same time—living hell.
Evin KinKaid has it all: the title of alpha of the KinKaid wolf shifter pack and the man he loves, his mate, Mason Thorne II in his bed. But across territorial lines, it seems another pack is conspiring to see just how badly he wants to keep them both. So when the Gregorson pack tests its boundaries, leaving Evin to find his home ransacked and his mate nowhere to be found, the rival shifters learn what it's like to gain the KinKaid's alpha's full attention.

Disappointing short paranormal m/m romance that's basically two sex scenes between the couple from Bloodlines, strung together by a bit of plot that was left unresolved.
As much as I liked Bloodlines, I was looking forward to more of the same with Make Me. It started well, but fell flat. The story is short, too short to be more than what it was - a showcase for sex between Mason and Evin. The sex scenes were nice, but the reader is left hanging with different plot threads. The charged atmosphere between the KinKaid pack and the other pack that didn't go anywhere... the holding a hostage of other other pack didn't bring any sort of conclusion. What's up with the other pack ransacking Evin's home? What were they looking for? Whose scent was it that Landry knew? Even anything more on Mason's family was left up in the air. And Evin's sister, Rosa. A hint of something between her and one of the Enforcers is made, but not followed upon. Is this series going to be a constant feed of mini-shorts, giving us little bits of what happens? Not a real story?
The one good thing that happened (or didn't happen) that was good is Mason hadn't really been kidnapped, and nothing bad happened to him. I think I might have given the story minus points if he'd been kidnapped, tortured and raped (like so many books seem to do).
Oh, and another thing I really liked is the playfulness we were exposed to toward the end of the story. I loved Mason's challenge, then his shifting and running off. I would have liked the chase to have been longer, and maybe something more of that. But, in a way, with the hostilities very much in your face and the two packs on the edge of war, it was an inappropriate time for the two to be out running around like they were.

Make Me starts with a heavy dose of sex I wasn’t quite prepared for! I sat and thought, Gosh, here we go! Hold on for the ride! It didn’t put me off—on the contrary, it set up the tale very well and showed the level of devotion between Evin and Mason, which I felt was necessary due to what happened next.
When the Gregorson pack make it clear they’re an unfriendly bunch and have intentions of upsetting the balance, I wanted to strike out at them myself. I got the feeling of just wanting Evin and Mason to be left alone in peace, without threats and violence going on around them due to pumped-up egos and the need to dominate the area. The Gregorson’s behavior does mimic real life, though—there are always people out there ready to cause problems—so I liked the parallels here.
Mason is worried for his family. He goes off to make sure they’re ok, but doesn’t realise his home with Evin is being ransacked in his absence. So Evin thinks Mason is in serious danger, and here I saw the panic and felt it as Evin processed the unfolding events.
BEST BIT: The sound of ripping seams filled the space around them. (This put me right there. Awesome!)
VERDICT: Make Me is a great short story that is part of a series, judging by the subtitle on the cover, but it doesn’t mean you can’t read it without having read the others. I found it worked by itself just fine, and for the low word count, Ms. Lee did a wonderful job of packing in a super plot and good erotica that makes you think you’ve read something much longer. Great stuff!
Yes this is a short and can be read within the hour but it was a nice addition from reading the first book to catching a glimpse of Evin and Mason’s life 6 months down the line. I love Jessica’s writing style I find myself smiling while reading her books. She really doesn’t hold back and yes there is a lot of sex in this story but it’s hot very hot and it was oh so good to see that Evin and Mason are still going strong and the love that comes of the pages between these two is just lovely. We do see a threat that comes to the Kinkaid pack and Evin thinks Mason is in danger but Mason has his own secret where he has been. But with this threat Evin knows he has to stop the Gregorson Pack and I ‘m hoping we hear more about that in the next book. We do get a glimpse of Landry and Kaleb who I know have a connection with Rosa and their story is in book. Bring it on I can’t wait to read the next instalment of the Kinkaid pack.
Oh yeah! When I read the title I wondered where this story would lead. Somehow I knew it wasn’t going to be in the childish games of youth, and the “Nanny, nanny, boo, boos.” From the first page, I was swept off my feet into a world of a steamy, no, sizzling relationship; a paranormal world where the Alpha mate are willing to protect each other. Their lust and love propel the reader into this new world of the KinKaid Pack. Make Me is a simply a book you don’t want to put down. And when it’s finished, you immediately want to rush to get the next book! It’s going to be a great series!
This is a quick read and a continuation of Evin and Mason's story.
Short and steamy this novelette sees our guys 6 months later and dealing with pack life and problems.
Things between them couldn't be better but outside forces threaten them and those they care for most.
This one gives you another glance at these two that we have come to love while also giving you an intro into the next book in the series and where the story line will go.
Make Me by Jessica Lee is everything you want in a short M/M Erotic story. Steamy sex, a bit of a plot to introduce you to the characters, and did I mention steamy sex. The book starts out hot hot hot and ends with more hot! Then there’s the bonus of the shape shifting element, which allows for some playfulness by the characters . Definitely a 5 in this genre.
Make Me is the sequel to Bloodlines and should be read in the order of release date.
Have you ever wished that your favorite characters storyline to continue after their happily-ever-after? If so, then you are in for a treat with Make Me. Evin and Mason are once again featured as the main couple in the second book of the KinKaid Wolf Pack trilogy. This time around the threat to the couple’s happiness comes from a rival werewolf pack who is determined to overthrow Evin’s Alpha leadership of the KinKaid pack by any means necessary. Evin is a force to be reckoned with when he discovers his home vandalized and Mason missing.
Will Evin be able to maintain control over his pack? Is Mason’s life in danger from an evil foe?
Make Me is just as hot and thrilling as its prelude novella! Jessica Lee has a natural flowing writing style that makes you jump right into the storyline and keeps you captivated into the final words have been read. I am happy to see the continuation into Evin and Mason’s lives with book two. For me, it is always a joy for the main characters in a novel that I loved to be featured in different plot rather than being portrayed as secondary to new characters. The combination of romance, love, and suspense crafts Make Me a great read. Enjoy!

Heated short story centered on the Alpha asserting his control and concern for his mate
This second, brief installment in the KinKaid Wolf Pack series centers on events shortly after Evin’s assumption of a new position in the pack. With political threats abounding, Mason must put to rest his past, learn about new dangers due to his mating, and ascertain just how much he is able (or wants) to resist the rough, commanding handling of a more dominant wolf.
There is a bit of a plot which advances the underlying story in the KinKaid Wolf Pack series, starting off with Evin’s assumption of a new position at the end of the first novella and setting up for future conflicts that unfold in the third novella. However, the focus of this short story is certainly a long, heated, passionate and a tad kinky scene between two male wolves, one very dominant and the other figuring out how to respond to the strength of his partner.
Overall it was a nice, explicit (romantic erotica) shifter short sex story focused on a dominant and and just lightly BDSM/kinky (discipline and biting) male/male sexcapade.
This short story provides Bloodline readers a chance to get to know Evin and Mason even better. And again these multi-dimensional characters are strong men with a deep love for their mates, a fact that goes uncontested as the book opens with a hot, hot, hot sex scene.
Evin KinKaid, the only son of the KinKaid pack's alpha, has returned to his pack where he has now assumed the position of alpha. Together with his mate Mason, he is acclimating to pack life and finds his authority challenged by a neighboring pack. Evin gets a scare when he believes Mason has been abducted and is ready to do anything necessary to get his mate back.
Though just a very short story, readers will enjoy the chance to see more of the relationship between Evin and Mason. The author’s descriptive writing brings readers into the relationship so that we can feel their connection. This couple is sweet (and hot); and Make Me is short but sweet.
This is a short story, but intense both with sexual tension and with a danger that comes into the lovers’ world.
Evin KinKaid’s life is complex with being the alpha male of the KinKaid wolf shifter pack and trying to maintain a relationship with his mate. He worries about the pack, but he couldn’t live without his mate.
Mason Thorne was human and had to leave his family and all he knew behind when he became Evin’s mate. He doesn’t regret it, but sometimes he worries about who he left behind.
Well drawn characters for such a brief look at them. Lots of heat. The story is part of the KinKaid Wolf Pack series. You will definitely want to read the first one, Bloodlines, as well.

Make Me by Jessica Lee is second in the Kinkaid Wolf Pack series and gives you a little taste of Evin and Mason after their happily ever after. With this addition Ms. Lee shows how the men struggle to combine their lives even as Evin handles his duties as new pack Alpha. It was nice to see what happened after their happily ever after. The men love each other but combining their lives isn’t easy. Mason is struggling with what he has given up even as he loves Evin and wouldn’t change his life. I loved that Ms. Lee showed us that their ending in Bloodlines was in fact just their beginning. I enjoyed seeing both men struggle because they loved each other not in spite of their love. I am enjoying this series by Ms. Lee and am looking forward to where she will take us next.
This second book of the series is very short. It is erotic as all get out, and tense when after a raiding by another wolf pack brings the Alpha home to his now wrecked home, to find his mate not there. What happens when Evin finds Mason gone? What does he think happened? What changes from what Evin said to do at the meeting at his father's home and when he got home and the interlopers had been found? What was he planning to do? Read and find out. I cannot really say much other than this without giving the whole book away.

Seriously ! Love Evin and Mason's characters they do have , practically all the Kincaids (NOT the former alpha , he's a jerk ) Anyway the first book in this series is good but not the price a paid for this one no no not okay , it should have more than what I feel was a couple chapters stretch out into make it feel like a normal ebook please please mss Lee , you have a good imagination on how to make an amazing story with the Kincaid pack , don't cheat us out, or that's how I felt about it with this one.
The Kincaid pack is being challenged by the Gresgorson pack , Evin found his cottage trashed and Manson has disappeared from it , two wolves of the rival pack found lingering in kinkaids land . Manson returning from a ghostly visit to check out on his mother and sister get caught up in Evin's anger and frustration.

As hot as the first volume, it was good to revisit Evin and Mason in this very short sequel. They are a little more settled into their relationship, but this book focuses on their sex life more than their interaction. A misunderstanding and a threatening rival pack provide the setting for this sexy sequel. If you like shifters with lots of testosterone and humans who more than hold their own, you will probably like this book.
This was a hot, sexy interlude with Evin and Mason but the story was far too short, especially since a dispute with the neighboring pack was introduced as part of the storyline but then was never resolved. I'm assuming this short story is building up to the next book, but the ending still felt abrupt and left me hanging.
I absolutlly love this series. I was disapointed with this book because it was so short. It was like she left off several chapters from the first book and just published them later to keep it going. It was a disappointement, but I will continue to read it with the next books. The author is a/ good writer.
This was a very brief sequel to the book Bloodlines but it didn't really go anywhere ... it was PWP with a brief set up for the next book in the series ... disappointing given the potential left un-developed in the first book in the series.
A really short story about the events between book 1 and 2. I didn't read the series first, so I have no idea if the writing style changed. Still the writing was great, the action packing and the emotional part quite fetching. Nice inbetween read, though I recommend reading the series first, because it was obviously meant to be a filler.
This started off as a great read and great sex scenes but then the author brings in a conflict that goes unresolved. I wonder if the author is saving that for the next part of this series; it would have been better if they had it in this story.
Too short, but still worth reading. Seriously needed more resolution to the conflict in the story. If the conflict had been left out all together and just had more time with Evin and Mason it could have been better.
30 pages does not a book make. I wish I'd have looked for page count. I'll say It started out great. I was thrilled to continue with Evin and Mason, but then it's just sex and no resolution. I guess that's book three. Im gonna pass on book 3 for now.
