I checked this out of the library in the middle school when I needed something to read while subbing. It was a very fast read, I finished it in less than 3 hours, and I really enjoyed it! It dealt with some pretty heavy topics - incest, abuse, suicide - but I liked how the author portrayed her main character.

It was interesting to read this while working with disturbed children... it made me very aware of the inaccuracies about treatment, such as the lack of staff prescence (when if staff are not present, DSS considers that neglect). However, I enjoy stories about insane people, so I enjoyed this one.
