This is book six in the Seaside Inn Mystery series, and it might help to read the previous books to have a better understanding of the characters and setting. The mystery, however, is a standalone. The story starts on page one and the pace is consistently steady. Cassandra has an evening stroll when she hears and sees who she believes to be a person. Now, she can't get the matter out of her head and soon other people are witnessing the same thing and encountering danger. The story becomes a competition between Cassandra and journalist Kevin over the odd occurrences in the area.

Poppyridge Inn has love, secrets, lies & treasure in this one but who is doing what? The manager Cassandra, the grounds man Briggs who is also Abby's father, one of the guests, or maybe it's a neighbor who isn't happy with the Inn being there? Wait now someone says that they have seen a man staring at them from the woods but did they really? Yes, it is confirmed by other guests as well.Wait until you read this, to get the answers plus there is a supposed treasure from a blown mine 10 years before now did it really happen to cover up the discovery of gold there?

I really enjoyed going back to Poppyridge Cove. We met new people staying at Poppyridge Inn. Strange things started happening in the woods behind the Inn. You'll be surprised who is behind everything that's going on.

A Poppyridge Cove Tragedy is another chilling, suspenseful mystery at Poppyridge Cove Inn. Clear your schedule before you begin to read this book because you will not be able to put it down. Who is in the woods? Why are they in the woods? This well written, extremely suspenseful novel takes many twists and turns before it gets to the end. I was very surprised when I read the conclusion!

Good Series

I’m enjoying this series but I wish Abby and Chase would come back and help run Poppyridge. I like Cassandra and Briggs but this place was Abby’s dream and since she has her kids, her MIL told her she didn’t think the kids were safe living there. Her MIL needed to mind her own business.
