From Amazon Best Selling author Tawny Taylor, a sexy story of seduction, ecstasy and danger...

SYNOPSIS
Maggie Dunning loves her romance novels. Her favorite--Conquered by the Knight, the story of two dominant, sexy shapeshifters, Xander and Bastien. To be possessed by two powerful Masters? Heavy, happy, lust-filled sigh!

But that's just fantasy. It could never happen in real life...right?

Little did she know that a paper cut and a few muttered words would make all her fantasies come to life, including the hunky Xander and Bastien. One minute she's cozy in bed sleeping, the next she's dragged into a world she'd thought only existed in her imagination, to face her most secret desires...and her worst fears.

Bastien and Xander have their own challenges to face--a crime to investigate and a dangerous threat to the Twelfth Night Brotherhood to uncover. But they won't let that stop them from seizing their fascinating new bride and introducing her to the ecstasy of complete surrender.

WARNING
Contains kidnapping, forced seduction, mild D/s, menage and graphic sex

SAMPLE
Someone, or rather several someones, were in her bedroom. Broken in. Should've forked over the extra hundred dollars a month for the apartment with the security system and intercom.

What now?

Playing possum until she could think of what to do, she made a conscious effort to keep her breathing slow and steady -- no easy task, considering she was petrified. Her heart was beating faster than a hummingbird's, and a mega-dose of adrenaline was pounding through her veins.

What did these guys want? How many were there?

She heard at least two sets of footsteps treading softly across the carpet. They were coming closer to her bed. To her.

Ack!

This couldn't be good. Her eyes still closed, she tensed her arms and legs and psyched herself up for what promised to be a harrowing escape. She'd never had to run for her life before. Would she make it? She wasn't exactly athletic. Nor did she know a lick of self defense, outside of the tried and true kick-'em-in-the-balls routine.

The footsteps stopped. She guessed there were two intruders, both standing on the same side of the bed. This was both good and bad, since that side also happened to lead to the most direct route out of the room.

On the count of three. One, two...
Two and a half...
Two and three quarters...
Two and five eights...
Something brushed the side of her face.
Three!

She snapped open her eyes, log-rolled to the far side of the bed, and landed on the floor with a heavy thud. Her head smacked into the corner of her nightstand.

"Ouch! Dammit!" Twinkling stars obscuring her vision, she staggered to her feet and groped her way down the side of her bed.

The sound of someone racing toward her, coupled with the slowly clearing image of two enormous males headed her way, inspired her to speed up her progress toward the door. Full speed ahead, she made a desperate dash for freedom.

A blow from behind sent her tumbling to the floor but she didn't let that stop her. Escape. Door. Ohmygod!

Panic mounting, she scrabbled on hands and knees, her gaze fixed on her target. Unfortunately, she was stopped dead in her tracks when some two hundred plus pounds of lean, hard male landed on top of her, literally flattening her to the floor. Her nose jammed painfully into the carpet, the musty odor giving rise to an irrational vow to have the carpet steam cleaned if she got out of this situation alive. She wheezed, struggling to refill her oxygen-starved lungs with air, and squirmed, the adrenaline now blasting through her body in massive tidal waves, giving her a strength she hadn't known she possessed.

She fought like a pissed-off wolverine, yet it wasn't enough. The man on top of her easily overpowered her. Before she could beg for mercy, she was dragged to her feet and forced to face her captor for the first time.

Nothing exciting happens in Tawny Taylor's life, unless you count giving the cat a flea dip--a cat can make some fascinating sounds when immersed chin-deep in insecticide--or chasing after a houseful of upchucking kids during flu season. She doesn't travel the world or employ a staff of personal servants. She's not even built like a runway model. She's just your run-of-the-mill, pleasantly plump Detroit suburban mom and wife.

A different storyline but every romance readers fantasy. Well, except for the must stay naked and be submissive! I do love shifter stories and this one was "cute" but there wasn't enough shifting.

I love paranormal romances, and I particularly like menage stories. I was excited to read this because of those two elements. However, while the story had a very interesting premise, it really didn't live up to my expectations.

There is a BDSM element to the story but it's never really delved into very much. The romance ... there wasn't much, if any, romance to be had, and while I absolutely love shifter stories, I literally forgot that Bastien and Xander were shape-shifters until near the end when they do shift.

There is all this talk throughout the story about Xander and Bastien's need to 'claim' Maggie. They never do claim her. Plus, you learn that they only have a certain amount of time, from the time they take her through the portal to their world, to claim her or she will become sick and die. Because of the work that Xander is absorbed in, they hold off on claiming her and she becomes sick, but when she is convinced by an unknown man to return home, suddenly she doesn't seem sick anymore. There is not another mention of her feeling ill or dizzy or anything.

I also have to admit, the whole thing with Xander investigating some crime ... it didn't make any sense to me. I felt like I'd missed something and, who knows, maybe I did. I didn't even realize that Xander was some sort of detective until he's investigating a break-in at a friends house. That part of the story is never resolved either.

Although the outcome of the story wasn't too bad, it did seem rushed. So while the story was okay, it needed a lot more. More information about the crime Xander was investigating, more romance, more shifting or at the very least more mention or discussion of it, and honestly, more sex. It was kind of disappointing.

This is every girls fantasy .. wouldn't it be awesome if you could open your favorite romance novel that you've read 10 times in the last month, cut your finger on the edge of it - and absently minded mention how wonderful life would be to be loved by Bastion and Xavier *sigh* then when you go to bed that night - you wake up to find the most gorgeous guys on the planet in your bedroom waiting to take you to their world with the only intention of pleasing you over and over again??

*Sigh* as if .... That sounds like it would be a pretty great life, right?? to me, too, but to Maggie, her husband who died was controlling of her life, she wasn't happy with him, and was grateful for the freedom she got when he died. she worked hard at making friends, a good job, and an apartment by herself. Sure her love life could use a little spice, but hey, who;s couldn't...

When Maggie went into the story, she was happy about Bastion and Xavier as her Masters - but to be submissive ... completely. to live her life naked with nothing but a collar claiming her as theirs... no work, no friends, not even house work or taking care of children. she would just sit there day after day with the only thing to look forward to is her Masters coming home to pleasure her.... was that the trade off??

Maggie had mixed feelings, sure she wanted the men - who wouldn't, but the rest of it...... she had a lot to think about...

Cute story with an unexpected twist at the end :D

Maggie Dunning is a working girl who loves her adventures in literary romance! However, one particular romance has completely enthralled her to the point of capturing all of her attention and any of her spare moments. The world and heroes of this imaginative tale have become her home and where she seeks respite from the reality surrounding her. Maggie's reality abruptly changes when her two worlds swap places, and she becomes a captive in the world of her dreams. Not only is Maggie a captive of her dream world, but she is also at the complete mercy of her two romantic heroes. Incredibly, somehow her life has been woven into the fabric of her favorite romance and includes all of the dangerous passion and erotic love that she once ever read about.

Definitely a hot, steamy, erotic short story full of adventure and dangerous, seductive heroes. A fun story to read, but really too short. It started out well, and progressed smoothly, but ended rather abruptly. The ending felt like no ending at all, and the story seemed to end in the middle. This was definitely a frustrating aspect and left lingering disappointment. The relationship being established between the heroine and the heroes were considerably cut short. I felt I had read an unfinished story. So, while what I read was entertaining, it lacked depth to the characters, relations, and plot. Regrettably, only a 2.5-star rating for my shelves.

This had an interesting premise, as trashy romance novels go, but the abrupt ending was so unprofessional, I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room (something I would never do, but the feeling was there nonetheless). It is as though the author started the tale, and just as it was progressing along nicely and the characters were beginning to develop, she grew bored of the project and just decided to slap a crap ending on it to push it through to the publisher.

In addition, the use of "Ack!" "Eep!" and "Eek!" is completely ridiculous, as any self-respecting modern woman would not utter such idiotic exclamations (I daresay even within their internal dialogue).

My last issue comes from the fact that the author has never heard of the term "euphemism." While I'm certainly no prude and don't shy away from such terms as those Ms. Taylor uses, and I can do without the overly-flowery euphemisms of some older romance novels, I found myself wishing that the author had a (naughty) thesaurus so that I was not constantly and repetitively bombarded with the same two terms for male and female anatomy..

I don't usually bother to write lengthy reviews, but this drivel had me wishing I had my time back.

I wanted to like this book. Seriously, my first thought when I saw that it was an erotic paranormal romance was "SWEET!" Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to the hype in my head. For erotica, it was surprisingly light on the sex. There was a lot of buildup but it kept fizzling out before they got to the good stuff. We spent a lot of time in Maggie's head but because she was going all memory-fuzzed, we really didn't get to know her all that well. By that same token, Xander kept excusing himself from their playtime and Bastien just seemed like he was along for the ride.

Like I said, I wanted to like this book but it never quite came together for me.

Well this is certainly unique as far as plot is concerned. I mean who wouldn't want to suddenly wake up and find that their favorite book is real...though my favorite books are far more innocent than the main character's. The problem lies with the fact that it was...a bit boring. It also glosses over details that are mentioned quite a few times, which left me feeling rather uninterested. The actual sex is decent enough, though it's rather anti-climatic and despite the fact that it seems to be a rather important part of the culture (they do kidnap women for it after all) it's not that prevalent in the story.

Overall for a free kindle book it's decent and short enough that it's a pretty okay download. I don't know if I'll read the second one or not.

This may have been the worst story I have ever read. It tried to be so many things and failed entirely at all of them. The erotic aspect was hinted at but never followed through. A paranormal shifter book where the characters shifted only once and you never knew why. Romance? None, tried and failed. Teh fantasy aspect of a portal to another world was mentioned but never explained. There was very little back story at all, so you really had no idea at the characters motivation. This had the feel of a good concept and story that was practice for some budding editor. I would not recommend this book.

The plot is Something I have wished could happen a few times and im 100% sure im not the only one. Pulled into your fav. book.
The charter’s where enjoyable. The man sound beyond sexy and I do not think I would mind bumping into them! The one thing I did not like to much was the ending, I wish it was a longer story and did not just stop! Overall tho it was a good story and I cannot wait to read some more of Tawny Taylor work.

Happy Reading Everyone!

Who doesn't wish they would end up in their favourite novel. Especially, if you were loved and adored by two exceptional men who didn't live here on earth. So what if they were totally dominant and you had to do everything they said and never wear clothes and you weren't a skinny mini.

That is the premise of this trilogy. This 1st one is 2 shapeshifters, large werecats.

To make it easier on the brides they lose all memory of earth after a couple of days. It's sounding worse the more I'm writing this review but it was quite OK while I was reading it. Honest.

I marked this book light-BDSM, because that is all it is. That might even be stretching it. Taylor hinted that D/s would be a big part of this menage, but besides one or two commands NEVER showed it. This book is a big tease. There are a couple hot scenes, but the final scene is a 'fade to black'. The guys seem hot enough, but the book was not long enough for the story and character building, so the character building got left out. I have officially gave up on this author. I have tried to read a couple of her other stories and I just cant get into them.

ok.... what a waste of time

Well this book had some good moments and bad. I enjoyed the story but the ending...really!! After waiting and getting to the end you kind of expect a little more. Not sure if I'll continue with the series or not. I guess it all depends on what the second story entails and if the story of these three continue.

Soooo disappointing... I was really expecting a whole lot more but this story just fell flat for me. If you look for a spicy menage then this book is not for you. The author could have done so much more with this story because the plot has such GREAT potential!

Loved the premise, but felt the book fell short of it's potential. Also felt the use of slang and exclamation points bordered on the juvenile. That being said, I think this author has potential for growth.

A fun, short sexy read. The heroine is funny and the heroes are hot. There is not a lot of sex if that is what you are looking for but this book sets up the series. I am looking forward to the next two books.

Ended abruptly. Was really good until the end, it was like she turned it in unfinished and just wrapped it up real quick with 2 paragraphs. It was very anti climatic and unsatisfying.
