This book examines the thinking of two nineteenth-century existentialist thinkers, Soren Kierkegaard and Friedrich Nietzsche. Its focus is on the radically different ways they envisioned a joyful acceptance of life - a concern they shared. For Kierkegaard, in Fear and Trembling, joyful acceptance flows from the certitude of faith. For Nietzsche, in Thus Spoke Zarathustra, joyful acceptance is an acceptance of the eternal recurrence of life, and is ultimately a matter of will. This book explores the relationship between these opposed visions.

ترجمه‌ی فارسی این کتاب توسط ابوتراب سهرابی و الهام عطاردی با عنوان «کرکگور و نیچه» در گودریدز موجود نیست. این کتاب، با التفات و اشراف بالایی نسبت به فلسفه‌ی هردوی‌شان (هم نیچه هم کیرکگارد) سعی در تشریح این تصویر در آینه دارد. جی کلنبرگ با عنوان این مسئله که نیچه و کیرکگارد همانند یک تصویر در آینه، کاملا مشابه اما کاملا متقابل یکدیگر هستند، به شرح آرای هر دو، به‌خصوص در زمینه‌ی زیبایی‌شناسی و هنر، مسیحیت و اخلاق می‌پردازد که مهم‌ترین بخش و بزرگ‌ترین تضادشان را تشکیل می‌دهد. کتاب، در عین توضیح مهم‌ترین آراءشان، به تفاوت‌ها در شکل نگرش، و تشابه‌ها در سوژه‌ی نگریسته‌شده می‌پردازد. عالی.

An ontological and ethical comparison between thoughts of Nietzsche and Kierkegaard. Abraham as the hero of faith is the key character of Kierkegaard "fear and trembling" book. Alongside, Zaratustra has known as the messenger of superman in "Thus spoke Zarathustra". The author analyzes these two books and explains the similarities and differences of Nietzsche and Kierkegaard attitudes.
