I enjoyed the book but found it very hard to like some of the characters right from the beginning. Who was Mia and where did she come from suddenly, why did Cam fall in love with her at first sight when he had such a devoted wife. Just found these thinngs very disturbing.

I don't like to read about being unfaithful and there was a lot of it here. I also think it is a poor connection to the mercy killing. However she is such a good writer that she kept me interested all thru the book and I enjoyed it.

This is a totally different book! Scots and the old culture living in Maine. Really about love, loyality, duty and when to let go. I've attended and testified in many trials but the one in this book is---well, you've got to read it. I was spell bound and it's a page turner.

Was a real good read. Made me think about the extremes people will go to for the ones they truly loved.

It is all about understanding the motives of others--not judging them. This was clearly shown in the trial and the relationship between Cam and Allie. Well-written book that really makes you think!
