Following the Introduction is one of the author's signature introductory poems entitled A Poetic Cog. "I believe we all have an obligation to take what the Lord has given us in the way of beneficial, encouraging, or instructive words and impart them to others. This is part of our ministry as Christians."--L. Edward Hazelbaker. Weekly Cogs is a high-quality paperback with bright-white 60# paper and an embossed cover.
L. Edward Hazelbaker's first published work was "The Pilgrim's Progress in Modern English." An allegory about the Christian pilgrimage—or journey through life—from this world to heaven, "The Pilgrim's Progress" was written By John Bunyan during his imprisonment for preaching the gospel without the permission of the Church of England. It was originally published in 1678. Hazelbaker spent five years carefully translating/updating the seventeenth century text of Bunyan's original work and completely annotating and indexing the book. "The Pilgrim's Progress in Modern English" was published by Bridge-Logos Publishers and has been one of their best selling books every year since it was released in 1998.
L. Edward's overall experience in professional writing in various disciplines spans 46 years, and he has edited the work of others for 30 years. He has also helped Christian writers get their work published by representing them as their literary agent. His vision is to equip Christian writers and encourage them to use their skills to fulfill the Great Commission. Hazelbaker makes his home in Oklahoma with his wife, Melveta, and their family.
