A beautiful and charming book that speaks inspiration to the homemaker. I was especially blessed by the choice of Bible verses she uses to go along with each room of the house. I am trying to hang more Scripture verses around my house, and I really like her choices. For example, by an easy chair there is "Come to Me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest." For the bathroom--"Create in me a clean heart O God." There's even a verse for a closet! And of course the beautiful illustrations for each page and verse, and the simple readings to explain the verses and inspire the homemaker are warm and encouraging also. The author provides a little rhyme early on in the book that I have loved and plan to turn into a rustic sign for my farmhouse: "Kick off your shoes, make yourself at home, come sit in a comfy chair. Our lives, our love, our joy and laughter, with you, we gladly share." Everything about the book speaks warmth, love, and comfort and I found it to be a book that I both display on my shelf and one that speaks to my heart every time I open it.

Here's a delightful book, inspiring homemakers everywhere. The author uses Bible scriptures in each room of the house encouraging us to trust God in our everyday home surroundings. Karla's illustrations are warm and beautiful. A wonderful reminder of our high and holy calling of the keeper of the home. I love this one!

This is an adult's picture book. The pictures are beautiful. There isn't much "meat" in this book but still it is a nice collection of biblical verses and thoughts for a happy and Christ-pleasing home.
