It was good as an intro to weight lifting but it only mentions fencing in the beginning and there are no mentions of how the programs help with fencing specifically.

I bought what was probably the first edition of this. It was a pretty standard weightlifting/fitness book that inserted the word fencing periodically. As a general fitness book it was ok. As a fencing specific training system it was not.
