The best fencing autobiography since Nadi's, with inspiration and instruction for every fencer-a great gift for young fencers and an important story for coaches. In this book, a great champion tells his story and teaches his secrets! Golubitsky, a four-time overall World Cup Champion, three-time World Champion, and winner of nineteen World Cups, recounts his difficult rise to the top, his triumphs and mistakes, and the lessons he learned from them. Sergei tells of his early days inside the old Soviet "sports machine," the breakup of the USSR, and his emergence into the new world of international fencing. This is an inspiring story of desire and persistence, frustration and triumph. Plus, it's packed with practical tips for fencing and training. Numerous photos.

Fencing is my life is an autobiography book and one of the best books that I have ever read, it was written by Ukrainian fencer called Sergei Golubitsky. He is a great champion and one of the best foil fencers in the world. I chose this book because the title attracts my attention and it describes me. Furthermore, the book is amazing because it is an inspiring story of desire and there are a lot of instructions for the fencers, which is a good way to improve their skills. Moreover, no words can describe how I felt and how much I loved this book. In addition, there were many valuable concepts and the most thing that I like in his book is that he mention his mistakes and teaches his secrets to let the other fencers avoiding the mistakes that he did. The book is not only about his strength and how he become a great fencer it is also about giving the fencers a good lesson in a way that they can learn from their mistakes.

Interesting. The author wrote it partially because there is no other book like it for fencers, but it also adds quite a bit as to what it meant to be a fencer from a communist country.

Fencing Is My Life by Sergei Golubitsky is a non-fiction book about Sergei Golubitsky's fencing career and everything related to it. I chose this book because I am a fencer. The book started from before he picked up fencing and explained how fencing was in the family. The book took the reader through his entire career and ended with his current position as a coach. Sergei is a world champion and an olympic medalist. Sergei Golubitsky's career highlights include: 1999 World Champion, World Cup Champion (end of season points leader), Super Masters: Gold Medal, 1998 World Champion, 1997 World Champion, and many more. He never won gold in the olympics, however. He represented the USSR until it fell apart. He then represented Ukraine (his nationality). He is now 47 and lives in USA.

Fencing is my life is a non fiction piece about the fencing career of Sergei Golubitsky. I am trying to diversify my reading genres so I chose to read a non fiction book about fencing because I like fencing. Sergei Golubitsky, a Ukrainian fencer represented the USSR at the Olympic Games multiple times. It was very interesting because this was a book about how Sergei Golubitsky became the fencer he is now and how he got to his high level in fencing.
