[Ménage Amour: Erotic Fantasy Ménage a Cinq Romance, M/F/M/M/M, shape-shifters]

The Sinclair, McFay and Crimson wolf packs are not out of danger.

In fact, it is quite the opposite. Lexi’s cousins, Jacob and Troy Crimson, are about to be murdered. As they join the party in their club, VALERIES, they are attacked. If not for the quick reflexes of one sexy blonde, Jacob would have been killed by the blade of silver. Antoinette is stunned by her reaction to the two Alphas and finds herself in a heap of trouble, quadruple style. Not two, but four alpha males claim her for their mate, and she’s not sure how to handle them.

There’s an evil force set on destroying all alphas and ruling the world. He wants to obliterate the circle of elders and sets his sights on destroying Crimson, McFay and Sinclair. The battle has begun, and both Lexi and Antoinette must combine their powers, with the help of their alpha mates, to destroy the evil force before their packs are annihilated.

Note: There is no sexual relationship or touching for titillation between or among the men.

People seem to be more interested in my name than where I get my ideas for my stories from. So I might as well share the story behind my name with all my readers.

My momma was born and raised in New Orleans. At the age of twenty, she met and fell in love with an Irishman named Patrick Riley Dwyer. Needless to say, the family was a bit taken aback by this as they hoped she would marry a family friend. It was a modern day arranged marriage kind of thing and my momma downright refused.

Being that my momma’s families were descendents of the original English speaking southerners, they wanted the family blood line to stay pure. They were wealthy and my father’s family was poor.

Despite attempts by my grandpapa to make Patrick leave and destroy the love between them, my parents married. They recently celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary.

I am one of six children born to Patrick and Lynn Dwyer. I am a combination of both Irish and a true southern belle. With a name like Dixie Lynn Dwyer it’s no wonder why people are curious about my name.

Just as my parents had a love story of their own, I grew up intrigued by the lifestyles of others. My imagination as well as my need to stray from the straight and narrow made me into the woman I am today.

Antoinette "Toni" does not know what to think about her bosses Brad and Luke, who she knows are Alpha weres and she feels undeniably drawn to, but the feeling doesn't seem to be returned. When she begins starting having visions that reveal two other Alphas from another clan, she is even more confused by her conflicted feelings.

Jacob and Troy are cousins of Lexi (from the first Were book in series), when Toni jumps in front of Jacob and saves his life, they know they have just found their mate. Not knowing what her role was in the attempt on Jacob's life though has them asking a lot of questions, and when Luke and Brad show up claiming she is their mates as well. Could Toni be the mate for two clans that will align upon their mating?

Excellent read, I was confused by the description about the book initially but there was a lot more too it than described. Loved Luke and Troy, they are instant favorites.

****Reread, planning to read the next one and wanted to be up to date in story. There is an unexpected twist in this that is uncommon in paranormal shifter stories.

I tried. I really tried but holy crap, this read like a bad fanfic. Where's the editing in this? The wrong names were used in several spots, things were repeated just sentences away from each other, and the descriptions. Oh, man. I just couldn't read this anymore. Got about 2/3rds through and gave up.

I swear to God at one point, I was very squicked out by one of the guys going at her nether region after another one had just climaxed there. What the what? A couple of hours ago, they were trying to kill each other for touching Toni and now they're cleaning up after each other with their tongues? I don't understand how that could change so quickly. And of course, nothing was explained about their reluctant peace treaty. We're just supposed to accept it, like Toni is supposed to accept that she's the Mate to four Alphas and has to do whatever they say. Ugggggghhhhh. The feminist in me wanted to smack all of them.

:sigh: Sorry for the rant, but I had a few issues with the book that I tried to get past. Unfortunately, those issues kept coming up.

Please give me a moment to go take a cold shower...
Ok, I'm back. Wow...
At first it felt like there was not a plot line to hold the story together but this girl being mated with 4 guys. As it progresses though, perhaps by like the 1/4 point, a plot takes course. The plot is almost forced into the erotic theme, some parts seeming more porno than others, but it was still a great book. I found myself stressing over the plot as I would any other fantasy novel. The obstacle that Toni and the guys must face is cute at first, but how it's accomplished was written a little corny in my opinion. But it doesn't matter because damn did everything else make up for the corniness.
Eye rolling is the lead character for being described as your typical porn star, blonde, curvy, and quite well endowed. But given the book and it's extensive and very well described erotic scenes, a porn star-esque MC is expected for a porn erotic novel.
Overall, really great! I was pleasantly surprised at the little action and fantasy near the end, and am looking forward to reading the next in the series! <3

I really enjoyed reading this, the beginning of the relationships involved so very different to the first book! I loved the fact that the people involved in the relationship were a bit different, their start and organising the relationship not as easy as previously.

I enjoyed the different storyline, with surprising situations along the way, magic and mayhem galore. As with all the authors books, there are many steamy scenes! And in the case of this book, they’re not as instantly “perfect”, there is some figuring out necessary, but I can’t explain that without spoilers.

In fact, I really enjoyed the book and there are many things that I WANT to say, but I can’t without telling you what happens.

So, I will simply say that if you enjoyed book one, this is even better. If you enjoy fantasy romance with shifters and magical bad guys, then this is the series for you!

This is going to be a 3-in-1 review, cause the whole Were Trilogy is, essentially, the same book. And for the purposes of the review I'll treat it as one entity and post this same review under all three books.

This trilogy had so much potential to be great! The concept is fun and sexy and has some adventure. However, the execution was a little painful (no pun intended). This was a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, because I liked the story and actually read all three books, which is why I gave it 2 stars. But I couldn't give it more than 2 stars, because the writing was awful.

All three books have heroines who are sexually inexperienced, independent women who had to survive on their own. All the heroes are Alpha wolves... blah blah blah. I get that cliches work and people like them. I read the books, so I'm no exception. However, a little variation here would have been appreciated. Also, the sex scenes were so repetitive that I had to start skipping over them. A little bit of creativity could have gone a long way.

What drove me crazy with this author is that everyone "states" everything. When I imagine someone "stating" something, I think of an authoritative, matter of fact type of statement. Kind of deadpan, even. Dixie Lynn Dwyer, however, thinks that everyone can state anything in any context.

"I love you," he stated. ... deadpan ...
In the heat of passion ... "Mine," he stated... umm in the heat of passion, I'd expect him to growl it. He's a wolf for god's sake!

And just so you don't think my snarkiness is unjustified, I had my e-reader count the number of times "state," "stated," or "statement" appeared in all three books - Were She Belongs, Were Love Found Her, and Were Love Conquers All - and the combined number is over 400 times. That's scary.

Other quotes that make me sad:

"His eyes roamed over the cleavage of her chest..." as opposed to the cleavage of her ... ass? do we really need that distinction? I'd let it go, if it only happened once, but...

"Charity awoke, finding all three brothers holding her stare." umm... does she have three sets of eyes?

Also, Dixie Lynn Dwyer likes for her characters to "lock gazes." A lot. Folks were locking gazes left, right and sideways. In all three books there were a total 56 "locked gazes."

"She moaned and withered from the triple onslaught of sensations..." withered? that is not a word I'd associate with mind-blowing pleasure, more like slow horrifying death.

These are just some examples from all three books, I can go on. But I'll stop. I think you get the point.

I gave the trilogy two stars because I really wanted to like it. I actually finished it and the story itself had potential. But the writing was just ... not good. I tried out some books from Dixie Lynn Dwyer's other series and it's just more of the same.

Mind control, psychic visions, sorcerers, wolves, mates and fey…oh, my! If that combination seems a bit daunting then you can just imagine how seemingly-human Antoinette felt when her entire world changes in a short 72 hours.

A night out clubbing with a friend quickly plummets into the stuff of nightmares when Antoinette comes face to face with twin Alpha wolf shifters, Jacob and Troy Crimson. They overwhelm her senses and have her running for cover but only after she takes a knife wound to protect them from would be assassins. Jacob and Troy, being Alphas who’ve discovered their destined mate, naturally track her down and then the “fun” really begins for Toni. Life wouldn’t be quite complete without throwing in a couple more fated mates, a big bad with an evil plan, Alpha in-fighting and my favorite, a trip to Texas to reunite with Lexi, Paul, Andre and Sabre from Were She Belongs.

Ms. Dwyer's stories are multilayered but the multiple plots all work towards an exciting and well developed arc in the book. The characters draw you into the story and keep you reading. The heroes are Alpha to max but still flawed so the reader comfortably connects with their individual personalities and is able to cheer them on as they set out to win their mate. Speaking of the mates, these women quite honestly NEED the stability of the pack as much as they NEED the unique men that make up their mates. Like Lexi, Antoinette’s past is not quite what she believed it to be and as the truth comes out so does the emotional rollercoaster. She wants them, she craves them but they scare the daylights out of her, that’s putting it mildly in particular for Antoinette. Patience is not the strong suit of these Alpha males but for the love of their mate they will learn!

Do you love a story that is just a little gritty, a whole lot of action, boat loads of testosterone and some seriously hot sheet action? I know I do and Were Love Found Her has all that and more. While there were a few editing goofs with mixing up the hero’s names (easy to do when there are four to contend with) I was able to mentally correct the mistakes and move on to enjoy the book. This novel reads fine as a stand alone but it will make more sense if you’ve read Were She Belongs. Pick up your copy ASAP, I think you’ll find it well worth the read!

Wendy's Review

I have had the pleasure of reading all of Dixie Lynn Dwyer's books and enjoyed every one of them.

Were Love Found Her was just as good as all her other ones with the heroine being beautiful and intelligent. What Antoinette didn't realize was that she was being used for a bigger purpose. Working and living around the weres never bothered her and she was infatuated with the two brothers Luke and Brad she worked for, but they didn't have the same interest. They knew they couldn't take her for granted—they loved her too much for that. She didn't want to rock the boat. When she went with a friend to another bar, she never dreamed that her life was about to change for ever.

Valeries is an upbeat bar with high quality customers. It was totally different then what Antoinette found at Brad and Luke's while talking to the bartender about a job to speed up her own online business what could it hurt. Turning when she saw Jacob and Troy just moments before she threw herself at them literally to take a knife meant for Jacob. After the fight Antoinette was nowhere to be found but the brothers were not satisfied so they found her and brought her to their house to get answers.

Antoinette couldn't explain what they wanted she didn't know about the assassination attack. What she did know was that there were not just two alpha's that wanted her but four and that she held all the power.

This book was intriguing and held your attention. A book that had so many twists that you couldn't wait to see where Dixie led you next. It is helpful to have read the other book Were She Belongs. There is a lot of sexual tension and sexual releases. Love how Dixie kept the sexual tension going!

Given I enjoyed the first book so much, it wasn't too surprising that I decided that I would have to read the sequel to the series and enjoy it as well. Like the first book, it has it's moments where the main character, this time the lovely Antoinette steals the spot like rather Lexi, seems to be in conflict between her original character description once her mates appear. The characters at time can be a little flat, though I did feel there was a little more thought in them this time around, bit none the less I knew when I picked up the book what I was going to get. A romance between a woman and four men.

One thing I really liked with this book, is the teaser for the final book in the trilogy, the continuous mentioning of 'the beast'. I admit I really want to find out who that is and what roll he has in all this.

But u won't spoil it for you all. As I said with the first book, if you are looking for a book that has a lot of subplots, wild twists and turns.... then you should probably pick up a book like "the story of O". But if you are looking for a simple sex filled story of good vs evil with a heavy mix of the supernatural, then by all means give this a read as well.

The first book in this non-series (since it hasn't been designated as one) was 'Were She belonged' and it was good. I've read it twice.

This sequel, is even better, IMHO. This time, Lexi's cousins, Jacob and Troy Crimson (owners of Valerie's night clubs and Alphas of the Crimson pack) find their mate, Antoinette (Toni).

There are problems though (of course!)... Toni doesn't 'want' to be their mate. Then two other Alphas (Luke and Brad, her current bosses and also Pack Alphas) say she is also 'their' mate. Seems that Toni has been developing strange 'powers' lately, but hasn't told any of the guys about it. Then there is the fact that Toni doesn't like bossy, dominate Alphas very much. How can a menage of 4 actually work? It's all too much...

Additionally, there are some evil vamp/weres and a monster threatening everyone...

There will be another book, hopefully, because nothing is totally resolved in this one and there are more characters to have stories.

Solid 4 stars.

I enjoyed Were Love Found Her even more than Were She Belongs. It seems as the story line continues it is getting even better. Antoinette's character seemed more complex than Lexi. She was more confused and resistant. I was anxious to see how she was going to handle Jacob and Troy along with Luke and Brad. It amazed me how Dixie brought these four alphas together and combined their packs all because of one woman. The complexity of the situation made it seem like it was doomed to fail, but they pulled it off. I'm enjoying the series thus far and can't wait to see how this story comes to a completion with Were Love Conquers All.

Ms. Dwyer has a winner of a story here. Toni is a bit innocent in the beginning, but strong enough in character to take on all four wolves and not lose herself in the process. The men themselves seem to blend together at times making things a bit confusing, but that is a minor issue. The plot is very exciting and well thought out tying into, but standing well alone from the previous story. The next one should be even more exciting.

Toni was gifted with the ability to see the future which came in handy one night when Luke and Brad's lives was in jeopardy. It also came into play the night she went out with a friend right before she had planned to use her to help kill of the Crimson Alphas. Four alphas bought together to be mates to one special woman who is also human! The fate of their world is at hand and it will take not only Toni but Lexi as well to fight the coming evil. Will they succeed and make a life for themselves?

It's okay. It would be enjoyable if I didn't got distracted with a lot of typos in this book. Like Toni turn into Lexi, Troy's brother turn into Luke when it's Jacob, the bodyguard that was with Jacob turn into Lance when it was Mitch with him and Lance at that time was with the other brothers when Toni walk down the stairs etc. etc.

The story is good it just need some more editing.

I really like this series. However I can't get past all the mistakes the author makes with names. That person is not even in the room and she names him instead of the one in the room, etc. The author needs to edit better or hire a better editor. And the covers SUCK! They are some of the worst covers ever.

I liked this book a lot. I liked that the four alpha males that are Toni mates are all related like in previous book but they struggle to get along and find common ground. Really like that the other pack are included in this book and we get to meet Lexi again with the introduction of her three were pups. Great HEA

All the alphas!

Alphaholes ✅ possessiveness ✅ swoon worthy✅ all the growls✅ hotness personified ✅. Very sensual and hot book. Toni after a lethal attack finds that she not the mate of two wolves but four. Lots of action, more immersion into the Fae world. We catch up with Lexi and her mates. This book will keep you hot and snuggly on a cold night 😉

I mean let’s be honest- the books are awful. But for some unfathomable reason, I still find myself paying the ridiculous money for the next book. I think it’s just a personal flaw I have with conflict resolution.
