Very eh. I was looking forward to getting some insight into this religious / magick system, but was disappointed to find that there's nothing really new about it. As a religion, it's essentially Satanism, despite the author's claims that demonolators only worship the self. Included are several prayers to Satan and other important demonic entities, which resonate strongly with Wiccan and even Christian prayer. The dictionary of "demons" (VERY loose term that also inexplicably includes the Egyptian pantheon) is useful, as is the list of enns.
She uses and abuses a lot of different systems, so it ends up feeling a lot more like chaos satanism than a traditional system of its own. You find a lot of information from Christianity, from several different old (pre-1900s) grimoires, several different pantheons. The information presented conflicts heavily with itself. The author describes a very little bit about what traditional demonolatry involves, goes to great lengths to tell you that you'll never be a high priest, since you weren't born to demonolator parents, so if you buy her warning, you can't even perform the few rituals presented in the book. By the way, the rituals presented are baptism, weddings, funerals, and initiations. There are a few curses, but they're all written in sing-songy language and it feels very... hollow and unnecessary.
If you're interested in the topic, read it - it's free. There is definitely good information in there, but you have to work hard to extract it from the terrible editing and condescending tone. In short, don't expect to learn how to be a demonolator from this book.
This book is okay for those who are new to LHP occultism who have no clue where to start, but if you are experienced, it won't tell you anything you probably don't already know.
I had high hopes for this, as it came pretty highly recommended. But alas, it's another book viewing the whole of demonolatry through the Abrahamic lens, ignoring everything prior to that despite some initial nods to the demonic entities that predate Christianity.
Still, if that's your bag, it's probably really useful. Details rites, invocations, even recipes for making various sacred oils and such. Just not what I was looking/hoping for.
S Connolly is the best. This is another no nonsense, to the point daemonolatry book for Modern time. Every serious occultist should have read this one time atleast, to understand what daemonic magick is. Thank you S Connolly for writing this gem.
Not sure how I feel about this book tbh. Reminded me too much of LaVey, whom annoys the piss out of me. The only thing I really liked was the writer and the reader both agree that demons and Satan are real entities. I'm not sure if I'd read again.
