Why aren't there any more books in the series??? 😥
Now that this journey in the lives of succubus Jackie Brighton, fallen angel Noah Gideon and vampire Zane has finished, I have to admit that I am really sad. This series could have taken so many directions and even could have a spinoff. Noah definitely deserves his story and his happily ever after.
Needless to say, I am still happy with how we left things with Jackie and Zane. Jackie is an amazing character and she deserves to love and be loved to the moon and back. She also deserves to be a Queen, a Princess and a ruler. Good for her! I cannot believe that she managed to stay faithful in the duration of the series - although she knew that everyone would forgive her and understand her if she had to feed from others.
Zane is the ultimate bad boy and antihero who becomes a sentimental romantic fool for his girl. By the way I have not read about many chainsmokers heroes in romance books like Zane. I loved this one.
Noah could have been an easy solution for Jackie, for the author and for the readers. He is a good guy, he always forgives and helps Jackie, he is rich and kind and available. But he is not Zane. There is a shocking twist in the middle of the book, when Noah could have step in but Jackie simply could not accept defeat.
Overall one of the best paranormal series that I have ever read!

Perfect ending to one of the sexiest series I've ever had the pleasure of reading.
This fourth, and final, installment in Myles' Succubus Diaries series manages to be the funniest, steamiest, and also the darkest.
Before each chapter begins, we are given hilarious quotes from Remy's memoirs. Since falling in love with Ethan and quitting her career in the porn industry, she has decided to extend her cash flow by writing about her life and experiences as a porn star.
"There are boundaries, of course. Every person has them. But be prepared for people to try and push past those boundaries. Not because they want you to grow as a person. Mostly because sticking your finger up your partner's ass looks great on camera."- If You Put the Tip In, It Counts As Sex, by Remy Summore
Jackie, along with her friends, searches for the two halos that will earn her one favor, granted by the Archangel Gabriel.
There are numerous obstacles thrown in her way, but with Remy, Ethan, and Zane by her side, along with that uncanny luck she sometimes possesses, there isn't much that is able to slow them down for long.
Zane.. *sigh* .. the hottest winged vampire ever created. Smoking hot, loyal, deadly, possessive, and ready to do anything for the woman he loves. Never has the simple act of smoking a cigarette and wearing a leather duster been so very, very sexy. And I love that Zane is so open with his thoughts, allowing Jackie to use her touch to glimpse into his mind without hesitation. He's so trusting and it's so incredibly sweet.
My eyes began to focus in the low, greenish light, and I noticed the spread of Zane's black wings over the two of us. God, that was sexy. I always loved the sight of those feathers, the thick sweep of them. I reached up to touch one, run my fingers through the weave of feathers the way he liked, but my arm was sluggish to respond. Before I could raise my arm, Zane was there to press it back down again, then brushed his knuckles over the skin.
"Just relax. Let me love you."
His relationship with Jackie is as strong as ever, but complications occur that take the second half of this story in an unexpected, and down-right depressing, direction.
Every step of the way I found myself rooting for Jackie, cracking up at Remy, rolling my eyes at Ethan, and falling in love with Zane all over again. It was absolutely everything I wanted.
We're also introduced to a few new unsavory characters, a woman that Jackie finds herself becoming jealous of, and some characters we're already familiar with. Like Noah.
I was very pleased by the way that things worked out with his character. I've always adored him and was afraid that by the time the story ended I would either be loathing him or heartbroken over him. I was neither. Everything worked out perfectly.
It saddens me that this series has come to an end. And although Jackie's journey is over, I'm hoping that Myles will continue writing stories in this world sometime in the not-too-distant future.

When I read book one, I honestly didn’t like Jackie, the heroine very much. However, I stuck with this series, and she has grown on me immensely. This book wraps up her story, although I really hope Jill Myles revisits this world. It is sexy and so much fun. If you are not current with this series, there are spoilers for previous books ahead.
Jackie and Zane are finally happy together. Thank goodness for that because I was Team Zane from book one. Zane is there to scratch Jackie’s succubus itch, and Jackie is always eager to receive Zane’s vampire bite. While Zane (as well as her creator, angel Noah) are able to give her commands she must obey, he is very cautious of this, in love with her and doesn’t want to abuse his power. Even Jackie’s BFF, former porn star and fellow succubus Remy has found happiness with an Enforcer by the name of Ethan (who has some of the best lines in this book.)
So while Jackie’s personal life is content, she wouldn’t be Jackie if there wasn’t some drama. In a previous book, she made a deal with the Archangel Gabriel, that she would find two lost halos that hold much power. Problem is, these halos are really hard to find, and all the bad guys are after them too. Noah gets involved, as does a new succubus, Sophia (who is bad ass) as they all race to be the first to find these halos.
While this series is more on the fun and light-hearted side, this book dips a little more dark. Of course I can’t say why because I don’t want to spoil, but it is not all orgasms and happy times for Jackie in this book. Jill Myles writes a pretty ruthless villain and Jackie is tested. One thing I am very happy with is that the previous love triangle of Jackie/Zane/Noah is not reintroduced. Thank you Jill Myles! While Noah isn’t thrilled Jackie has chosen Zane, and he definitely has an impact in this story, he never becomes involved with Jackie in this book. I think Jackie and Zane have such a sexy, intimate relationship and their scenes in this book are really well done.
Each chapter begins with an excerpt from Remy’s porn memoirs, a book she wants to write to support herself, now that she is out of the industry. For example:
“The best thing about this business? The men. The worst thing about this business? The men.” – Looking back on a Decade of Dong, by Remy Summore.
I giggled at each one throughout the book. That combined with Remy trying to teach Ethan some slang, had my laughing a lot. For as silly as Jackie and Remy started in this series, they have grown on me so much.
Succubi Are Forever has great pacing, is sexy, and is just an all around fun book. I hesitate to say you can read it as a standalone because you need the dynamics from past books to appreciate the characters in this one. I’m glad Jill Myles finished Jackie’s journey and I hope she gives us more from this world in the future. (Like Noah’s HEA! *ahem*)

**A very enthusiastic 5 STARS!**
Anyone who has read my sparse and brief reviews knows that when I flove a book, I really FLOVE it. I can't help it--when I read PNR or UF, I do so to escape reality and be entertained and the more sex that's thrown in, the better (heck, I'll even take sexual tension if it's written really well and it eventally has a payoff) I spent enough of my life reading stuffy non-fiction, mystery/thrillers and chick lit (which are all still fine when I'm in the mood for them), but at this point I'm reading with a payoff in mind, and this book has a P-A-Y-O-F-F!!! It's hilarious, sexy (scorching, actually), heart wrenching and adventurous and I didn't want it to end! It also contains, hands down, the sexiest vampire bite/sex scene I've EVER read (it even beats out the Cat & Bones wax scene, and that's saying something!)
Jill Myles is the only author I've ever read that made me wish the heroine could be with 2 different men. I don't enjoy reading about menages or sharing, so I can't understand how throughout this series I went back and forth wanting Jackie to be with Zane one minute and Noah the next, but I did. I'm very happy with the way it turned out, but I really, really hope that J.M. will continue with the series so that other areas can be explored (I don't want to spoil it, but once you've read it you'll know what I'm talking about).
To sum it up, this book is going in my favorites, and yes, I FLOVED it! It's one of the top 3 PNR books that I've read this year (and probably even last year). Before you read it, make sure you've read the other 3 books in the series or it won't make sense. The novellas are optional.
Oh, and the little snippets from Remy's ever-changing "memoir" at the beginning of each chapter are genius!

I give Succubi Are Forever by Jill Myles 4/5 stars for being so entertaining and captivating and really living up to all my expectations.
My excitement (you probably shouldn’t read this):
Well, I feel like I have been waiting forever for this novel to be released (not really, it’s been like four months, for me anyways). Still, words can’t explain how excited I was to find Succubi are Forever was released a few days ago.
Succubi Are Forever Review:
Action, love, friendship, heartbreak, and death are only a few words that come to mind when I think about the events that happen in Succubi Are Forever . Honestly, after reading this novel, I feel as though I was just put through an emotional rollercoaster that will take me days to overcome.
In my opinion, one of my favorite features of this series is the friendship between Jackie and Remy. Remy really is the Robin Hood to Jackie’s Batman; It doesn’t matter what kind of situation Jackie has gotten herself into, Remy will always be there to support her no matter what. Now that is a friendship that deserves to be reconginzed.
Recommend?:
Yes! Succubi Are Forever was such a lovely novel to read and a nice finale for the whole series.

This is the final book in the Succubus Diaries series and I just want to start this review by thanking the author, Jill Myles, for finishing the series herself after it wasn't renewed. That was such an amazing thing for you to do and I really appreciate it!!
So onto the review...
We meet up with Jackie and the gang searching for the two halos. In the midst of attempting to steal a page from a valuable book, Jackie and Remy get kidnapped by some the sisterhood. Remy's in the "know" but Jackie has no idea what is going on. All she knows is her itch is coming on and there are no men around!
I really enjoyed this story. At first, I wasn't quite sure where things were headed especially with the sisterhood but once that got settled, it took off. Before and probably till the halfway mark of this book, I couldn't reconcile my feelings between either Zane or Noah. They both have their good qualities and bad but my heart went out to Jackie and her feelings become very clear.
There is an "Oh NOOOO!!" moment in the book that I didn't see coming and I really like how the author worked things out. JM really tied things up well with the ending and I liked how everyone was taken care of. I can definitely see some spin offs that could happen especially something of Jackie's new world.
A great series with a different twist that you don't see in many books. I would definitely recommend it.

OH MIIIII GOD!!!! after what felt like a thousand years I finally found a book that would make my head explode?!!!!!!! to be honest I was really convinced that I wont be able yo read some hot YA book with a substance and story cause really all the books were all sex sex sex and sex no real story behind it....
So one day I thought to myself why not try another succubus novel? and boom!!!! I found this and I'm so drawn to it until the very end!!!! and I'm sad it's done huhuhu!!!!! ...... anyways I sooo love JACKIE I'm so proud and amazed by her I mean look at her a Succubus resisting men for his one true love? talk about devoted she is unlike the other heroines (who aren't Succubus) that goes on and on banging with her two love interest clearly like the other but can't leave the other one..... But JACKIE? despite her nature she struggled to stay faithful to ZANE... And of course my Vampire,my ZANE even though I both like him and NOAH I'm clearly voting for ZANE cause its really clear that he love JACKIE for who she is unlike NOAH he's still pinning for a dead girl......so yeah I love ZANE better and besides I think NOAH found his own happiness or will be with SOPHIE .... just like you would experience the time of your life while reading this book ........so go and grab one!!!!!

Readable but unremarkable. This continues in the same vein as the previous novels in the series. Jackie is a weak character, and as the lead she doesn't do much to enhance the plot. I like that she toughened up a bit, but again it always seems as if she's biting off more than she can chew. Given Jackie's inherent character flaws,the final outcome, rather than being happy, seems to be the beginning of new potential disasters ie. another job Jackie is hopelessly unqualified to fulfill.
I know the author would have liked to have written more in this series but, unfortunately, the characters were never intriguing enough to sustain a much longer series. Remy is, as usual, the best of the lot.
The rush to wrap things up seems to have left a few holes as well. There never is a satisfying explanation to Remy and Jackie's kidnapping earlier in the story, or Sophie's joining their expedition, or what the other parties wanted to use the halos for.
I know the author would have liked to have written more in this series but, unfortunately, the characters were never intriguing enough to sustain a much longer series. Remy is, as usual, the best of the lot.
The rush to wrap things up seems to have left a few holes as well. There never is a satisfying explanation to Remy and Jackie's kidnapping earlier in the story, or Sophie's joining their expedition, or what the other parties wanted to use the halos for.

I am so sad that this series ended, I really hope JM will write more stories in this universe soon. I finished this book so fast that I didn't come out of shock! I am very happy with this conclusion of Jackie's story, but I so didn't see it coming :)) I could talk so much more about the characters, the plot, the quotes from Remy's memoir(these are PRICELESS!) but it would spoil it for the other readers. All I want to add is that JM doesn't disappoint with this new story of hers and that I can't wait to read more of her books.

And now for something completely different. A review in 6 parts (or would that be steps?)
How much do I adore Jill Myles and why you should read Succubi are Forever (Succubus Diaries #4)? Let me count the ways.
1. Jill has taken her writing career by the balls, and even when her publisher Pocket said, bye-bye, that didn’t stop her from finishing up her very enjoyable Succubus Diaries series. She has become a pro at self publishing and has decided to self publish Succubi Are Forever, the fourth and final book in this series when she could have gone onto better things. But no. She thought of her fans and gave us more Jackie Brighton, that curvy, accident prone, loves everything archeological succubus, who is still trying to come to terms with her new life and her sexual itch that needs to be scratched daily.
2. This sexual itch of Jackie is currently being scratched, and very well indeed by the dark and mysterious, semi-bad boy in leather, vampire Zane who turned Jackie into a succubus. She and Zane are now in a committed relationship together. Jackie’s former beau, the fallen angel Noah is the odd man out and still bent out of shape over it. But alas, Noah never gave Jackie great hand sex like Zane did or the OMG hotter than hot, sit on my face and tell me you love me love scene between Jackie and Zane in this story. I seriously had to stop reading and gulp down a glass of ice water because it’s that hot and tres kinky.
3. Remi. I loves me some Remi! Jackie’s laugh out loud succubus in crime, the former porn star turned… well, she’s pretty much still into sexual hijinks, but is trying to stay committed to her new boyfriend, the former virgin (thanks to Remi) warrior monk dude name Ethan who adores her. He also adores Jackie. Aww... Remi is writing a memoir about her life and the joy of starting each chapter is reading excerpts and advice from this soon to be published memoir that keeps changing titles.
4. The action and suspense is non-stop here. There’s crazy demons, psycho cult like succubi man haters, and the crazy queen of the vampires who wants Zane back. It’s just crazy all around but written in a way where you don’t want to throw the book against the wall.
5. Jill does something you'll least expect half way through that will make your jaw drop. I wasn’t expecting it and was like, noooooooooo, you evil biotch, how could you? This is the point where Jackie has a big change, and I have to give Jill kudos because it really puts things into perspective for Jackie regarding what she had gained as well as what she has lost. The path to the finale is tension filled, on the edge of your seat action. The ending has a big awesome twist. It’s full of win, as in I want to have babies with this winning ending.
6. Have I mentioned the hot Zane and Jackie sex? I never realized in order for Jackie to heal after being hurt or almost killed, she needs sex. Zane is her love doctor. I wish Zane could be my love doctor. Team Zane all the way.
Overall, a very enjoyable, steamy and hilarious paranormal series I really recommend you all try. The joy in reading this one is not only Remi and the shocking things that explode from her mouth. It's also about Jackie, the everyday woman who thought she was just average, but has now become a shining star with the perfect man by her side who is more than willing to scratch her itch and then some.

Succubi are Forever has potential out the wazoo. Jackie, a succubus on a divine mission, answers to a vamp/fallen angel, Zane, and a pure angel, Noah. I have, of course, come in on the show right at the end. But the plot hardly matters here when the tone thinks itself so humorous and biting and often is.
The character that shines brightest through the law of "Sidekicks are More Interesting", Remy, provides crass quotes / excerpts / advisements from her pornographic career at the beginning of each chapter. These colorful asides kept me turning pages even if they became somewhat predictable four fifths of the way through. She plays a lot with the art of titling the memoirs as well. By no means do these asides promote laughter, more like whimsy and for some, an in-your-face vulgarity.
The heat could not be more on, considering the succubus curse as treated here must be sated by coitus and other strange perversions that only a vampire could have.
It kind of made me sad reading the author's note prior to really getting into the book and learning that this would be the last in this series unless fan opinion has since swayed her decision (feel free to note my oversight in the comments if it is). The ending and couple of chapters leading up to make no attempt to hide their spottiness and the pervading sense of whimsy kind of drops out.
As a love story I am not sure if I am completely buying it but as a fun worldwide romp I am. If only Remy's character had been played up. I write this review with a heavy heart as this is the final installment of Jackie Brighton's adventures as my favorite succubus (besides Remy, of course). Here goes...Jackie is still searching for two more archangel halos in order to complete her deal with Gabriel. However, in Jackie's case, nothing ever goes as planned. She not only has to deal with the Serim, Vampires, a group of man-hating Succubi (led by the evil Phryne), but our favorite demon, Mae, makes a deadly appearance, throwing Jackie a game changing curve ball.
This book was far darker and way more intense than the previous installments. The tension between intensifies when Jackie realizes that Noah is also after the halos. How is she supposed to go up against one of her Masters when she's supposed to do as he says? An unexpected twist in this story (which nearly drove me insane)sets Jackie on a course which could mean the destruction of her and friends. When she realizes that all bets are off, she embraces her dark side, letting nothing or no one get in her way to obtain her ultimate goal. Will evil prevail or will Jackie find some way to pull this one out of the fire?
My heart broke for Jackie, Zane and Noah. While Jackie loves both her Masters, only Zane has her heart. I could sense Noah's pain and his acceptance of her decision. Even though he could have compelled to stay with him, he never did. This story had love, loss, revenge, redemption and new beginnings. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful series. Although this series is over, Ms. Myles will always have a fan in me. Jill Myles rocks!

This was such a great conclusion to what has become one of my favorite series. I can't believe this is the end, I sure will miss Jackie and crew.
Jackie Brighton grew some balls and was faced with many obstacles and challenges, I wasn't sure she would be able to pull off the enormous task(s). There was also much more humor in this book. The previous ones were funny, but I laughed out loud throughout most of this book. Remy's ramblings at the beginning of each chapter concerning her memoir were hilarious.
I want to also add something about the author's note at the end. She asks if readers of this series would be interested in further stories in this world. To put it eloquently, hells yes.

It made me laugh, it made me cry like a baby and at one point even had me cursing the author because I was so heartbroken and emotional. The Succubus Diaries is one of my favorite series and though I'm sad that Jackie's story has come to an end I'm so glad it got the ending it deserved. Succubi Are Forever was made of awesome and I thank you, Jill, for giving your fans closure. Full review to come.

Why do I always fall in love with series that cannot continue?
Jackie's story is somehow finished, but what about Noah and Sophie and the new role as queen of vampires to a little succubi...will I ever know what will happen to them?
I hope so! Like Jackie hoped she will have her Zane back I will hope that there will be more books, sequels, novellas with the characters from this marvelous world that the author created.

Cerita penutup yang sempurna....well, akan lebih bagus lagi kalo jill myles mau melanjutkan seri ini, secara pengen tetep baca gimana zane memanggil jackie dengan panggilan "princess"
cerita ini setelah akhirnya jackie memilih melepaskan noah & bersama zane, forever.
tapi sebelum mereka menikmati kehidupan forever mereka, jackie harus mencari 2 halos, untuk diserahkan pada archangel gabriell, sesuai perjanjian mereka.
dibantu zane, remi & ethan - remy's lover - jackie berpetualang mencari halos 2 archangel yang menghilang selama beratus tahun.
yang tidak diketahui oleh jackie & kawan2, petualangan mereka akan meninggalkan banyak luka bagi diri mereka sendiri.
petualang mereka mencari halos sejak awal menemui berbagai rintangan. mulai dari ditawan oleh sekelompok mania succubus yang tampaknya membenci para master mereka, yang dipimpin oleh phryne.
mereka memaksa jackie bergabung dengan kelompok mereka. mereka juga menawan zane.
jackie memang tidak menjdi sucubbi dengan sukarela tapi dia mencintai zane. zane bukan hanya master-nya tapi jg kekasihnya.
& sekelompok succubi gila ini ingin memisahkannya dengan zane. tidak bisa diterima.
dibantu oleh sophie - yang entah kenapa membantu mereka padahal dia adalah kelompok phryne - jackie & remy menyelamatkan zane & pergi ke biara para serim untuk menjemput ethan.
lha masalahnya biara serim tidak menerima zane. jadi terpaksa zane tetap berada diluar dilindungi oleh sophie.
ngomong2 soal sophie, jackie masih penasaran dengan alasan kenapa sophie membantu mereka melarikan diri.
di biara serim jackie bertemu kembali dengan noah, salah 1 masternya. namun noah yang ini beda dengan noah yang dikenalnya. hilang sudah noah yang hangat & penuh senyum. noah yang ini lebih keras. sekujur tubuhnya dipenuhi tato. tato yang akan tetap melekat ditubuhnya & memaksanya melaksanakan apapun perintah teman2nya, sehina apapun perintah tersebut. itulah bentuk hukuman noah.
& kali ini noah diperintahkan untuk menjadi pemuas dahaga bagi sophie....
yah tambah 1 hal lagi yang membuat jackie mancurigai sophie.
jackie bukannya cemburu noah bersama wanita lain, tp tetap saja rasanya tidak nyaman melihat wanita lain yang memenuhi noah.
namun lebih tidak nyaman lagi saat jackie mengetahui bahwa sophie ternyata adalah succubi kreasi zane yang lain.
jackie marah besar & menolak mendengarkan segala penjelasan zane. jackie cemburu berat.
untuk pertama kalinya jackie tidak luluh pada bujuk rayu zane.
selepas dari biara para serim, jackie dkk melaju menuju pemberhentian pertama. tempat yang jackie yakin menyimpan salah 1 halo yang dicarinya, nah masalahnya, itu berarti jackie harus meminta bantuan sang ibu yang saat itu sedang menggali didaerah tersebut. ibu jackie adalah seorang arkeolog.
disana mereka juga bertemu noah. ternyata para serim juga mengutus noah untuk mendapatkan halo tersebut. mereka ingin merebut perhatian archangel gabriel.
tampaknya bukan hanya jackie dkk serta para serim yang berminat pada halo tersebut.
phryne juga tertarik & sengaja memanggil demon (lupa namanya) untuk melawan jackie.
jackie yang punya perjanjian pada si demon, dengan terpaksa memberikan halo tersebut pada si demon.
masih ada pihak lain yang ikut campur masalah petualangan mencari halos tersebut.
queen of vampire tiba2 saja muncul dengan pasukannya.
memaksa zane kembali ke sisinya & menghajarnya habis2an.
sang demon yang berhasil merebut halo tersebut dengan angkuhnya menghancurkan queen of vampire.
kematian queen of vampire artinya juga kematian bagi para vampire, yang artinya pula adalah kematian zane.
zane berubah menjadi setumpuk debu dihadapan jackie,yang tidak mampu berbuat apa2.
kematian zane bukan hanya mematahkan hati jackie, tapi membuat jackie berubah secara keseluruhan.
jackie dibantu oleh luc, jackie mendapat sebentuk cincin yang dapat menahan hasrat succubi-nya.
dengan cincin tersebut, jackie tidak lagi memerlukan penambahan energi 2 hari sekali. jackie tidak ingin menyentuh pria lain spt halnya jackie tidak ingin pria lain selain zane yang menyentuhnya, bahkan tidak juga noah.
sekarang target jackie hanyalah menemukan halo yang 1 lagi untuk menagih janji archangel gabriel yang berjanji akan memenuhi permintaan jackie apapun jika jackie berhasil mengumpulkan 2 halo tersebut.
jackie menjadi gelap mata. menghalalkan segala cara untuk mendapatkan halo tersebut, termasuk dengan darah dingin mematahkan leher phryne.
perubahan jackie membuat remy takut. remy mengingatkan jackie, jika dia seperti itu terus maka jackie yang lama akan tergantikan dengan jackie yang baru, jackie yang mirip phryne.
kalo sudah spt itu apakah jika mereka berhasil menghidupkan zane kembali, zane bisa menerima keadaan jackie yang sekarang? bukankah yang dicintai oleh zane adalah kebaikan hati & senyum jackie.
jackie yang sekarang menakutkan. menakutkan & kejam. kekejaman yang menghalalkan segala cara termasuk mungkin akan tega membunuh sahabat baiknya sendiri demi halo tersebut.
perkataan remy mengenai jackie. tapi kematian zane benar2 meninggalkan lubang hitam besar dalam hati jackie. membuat jackie tidak lagi dapat berfikir jernih.
yang dapat dipikirkannya hanyalah bagaimana caranya menghidupkan zane kembali.
18 bulan tanpa zane adalah siksaan tiada akhir bagi jackie.
kehadiran noah tidak mampu nenutup lubang tersebut.
namun saat sudah menemukan halo tersebut, jackie tidak mampu membunuh sang pemilik halo.
omongan remy kembali mengingatkannya. jika jackie membunuh lalu apalagi yang akan tersisa baginya?
keputusan jackie untuk tidak membunuh sang pemilik halo akhirnya berbuah berkat.
archangel.... (kagak ingat namanya), juga mengalami hal yang sama dengan jackie.
sang archangel memilih menyepi di dunia manusia, jauh dari peradaban untuk mengobati patah hatinya.
sang archangel jatuh hati pada archangel.... (kagak ingat juga namanya), yang halo-nya sekarang berada di tangan demon.
karena tidak ingin halo kekasih hatinya berada ditangan demon & juga ingin membantu jackie, sang archangel bersedia membunuh si demon.
tapi membunuh demon bukan hal yang mudah. apalagi demon yang memiliki kekuatan halo seorang archangel.
di saat2 genting, jackie memanggil archangel gabriel.
jackie tau archangel gabriel akan menghancurkan demon tersebut. & karena menurut perjanjian jika jackie bisa membawakan 2 halo ke hadapan gabriel maka gabriel akan memenuhi permintaannya.
tidak perduli dikondisi seperti apa halo itu dibawa kehadapan gabriel, yang penting halo-nya nyampe ke tangan yang bersangkutan bukan???
gabriel jengkel pada jackie. setelah apa yang terjadi, jackie masih berani meminta permohonan padanya.
gabriel jengkel karena gara2 jackie seluruh vampire mati. yah gimanapun juga para vampire tersebut adalah saudara2 gabriel. gabriel masih menyimpan harapan suatu hari nanti para saudara kembali.
betapa kagetnya gabriel saat jackie menyebutkan permohonannya.
jackie ingin semua vampire & semua orang yang mati karna kelalaiannya hidup kembali.
gabriel jelas bahagia tapi ada 1 masalah, jika ingin vampire hidup dibutuhkan seorang anchor sebagai tonggak mereka.
queen of vampire adalah seorang demon & black magic, jadi tidak mungkin dihidupkan kembali.
karena itu siapa yang dapat menggantikan posisinya sebagai anchor para vampire?
jackie menawarkan dirinya menjadi queen of vampire yang baru.
jackie bersedia menanggung beban apapun, termasuk matanya yang berubah merah demi mendapatkan zane kembali.
menjadi queen of vampire kembali adalah harga kecil yang bersedia ditanggungnya jika itu berarti zane kembali ke pelukannya....
itu & dirinya dapat kembali menjadi jackie yang dulu & menjadi sahabat baik remy kembali....
& about noah, well ternyata sophie meninggalkan kesan mendalam pada noah.
karna sophie meninggal saat kerusuhan dengan queen of vampire, maka saat para vampire dibangkitkan kembali sophie pun kembali hidup, sesuai dengan janji jackie pada noah.
sekarang tinggal apakah noah & sophie memiliki jodoh untuk bertemu kembali.....
cerita ttg succubi sebenarnya tidak terlalu ku suka tapi jill myles menceritakan dengan sangat sempurna.
plus romance antara succubi & the fallen jelas tidak bisa ku lewatkan.
aq suka banget kalo zane manggil jackie "princess", seolah2 jackie adalah orang paling istimewa dalam hidup zane, seseorang yang zane rela mengorbankan nyawanya.
yahhh awalnya aq lumayan gondok waktu jackie memilih zane daripada noah tapi aq rasa jackie sudah memilih yang terbaik bagi dirinya.
bagi zane, jackie adalah hidupnya, nafasnya, dunianya.
sama spt jackie yang tidak akan dapat bertahan tanpa zane.
mereka saling melengkapi.
zane & jackie, his succubi, his princess & now his queen.....

di biara serim jackie bertemu kembali dengan noah, salah 1 masternya. namun noah yang ini beda dengan noah yang dikenalnya. hilang sudah noah yang hangat & penuh senyum. noah yang ini lebih keras. sekujur tubuhnya dipenuhi tato. tato yang akan tetap melekat ditubuhnya & memaksanya melaksanakan apapun perintah teman2nya, sehina apapun perintah tersebut. itulah bentuk hukuman noah.
& kali ini noah diperintahkan untuk menjadi pemuas dahaga bagi sophie....
yah tambah 1 hal lagi yang membuat jackie mancurigai sophie.
jackie bukannya cemburu noah bersama wanita lain, tp tetap saja rasanya tidak nyaman melihat wanita lain yang memenuhi noah.
namun lebih tidak nyaman lagi saat jackie mengetahui bahwa sophie ternyata adalah succubi kreasi zane yang lain.
jackie marah besar & menolak mendengarkan segala penjelasan zane. jackie cemburu berat.
untuk pertama kalinya jackie tidak luluh pada bujuk rayu zane.
selepas dari biara para serim, jackie dkk melaju menuju pemberhentian pertama. tempat yang jackie yakin menyimpan salah 1 halo yang dicarinya, nah masalahnya, itu berarti jackie harus meminta bantuan sang ibu yang saat itu sedang menggali didaerah tersebut. ibu jackie adalah seorang arkeolog.
disana mereka juga bertemu noah. ternyata para serim juga mengutus noah untuk mendapatkan halo tersebut. mereka ingin merebut perhatian archangel gabriel.
tampaknya bukan hanya jackie dkk serta para serim yang berminat pada halo tersebut.
phryne juga tertarik & sengaja memanggil demon (lupa namanya) untuk melawan jackie.
jackie yang punya perjanjian pada si demon, dengan terpaksa memberikan halo tersebut pada si demon.
masih ada pihak lain yang ikut campur masalah petualangan mencari halos tersebut.
queen of vampire tiba2 saja muncul dengan pasukannya.
memaksa zane kembali ke sisinya & menghajarnya habis2an.
sang demon yang berhasil merebut halo tersebut dengan angkuhnya menghancurkan queen of vampire.
kematian queen of vampire artinya juga kematian bagi para vampire, yang artinya pula adalah kematian zane.
zane berubah menjadi setumpuk debu dihadapan jackie,yang tidak mampu berbuat apa2.
kematian zane bukan hanya mematahkan hati jackie, tapi membuat jackie berubah secara keseluruhan.
jackie dibantu oleh luc, jackie mendapat sebentuk cincin yang dapat menahan hasrat succubi-nya.
dengan cincin tersebut, jackie tidak lagi memerlukan penambahan energi 2 hari sekali. jackie tidak ingin menyentuh pria lain spt halnya jackie tidak ingin pria lain selain zane yang menyentuhnya, bahkan tidak juga noah.
sekarang target jackie hanyalah menemukan halo yang 1 lagi untuk menagih janji archangel gabriel yang berjanji akan memenuhi permintaan jackie apapun jika jackie berhasil mengumpulkan 2 halo tersebut.
jackie menjadi gelap mata. menghalalkan segala cara untuk mendapatkan halo tersebut, termasuk dengan darah dingin mematahkan leher phryne.
perubahan jackie membuat remy takut. remy mengingatkan jackie, jika dia seperti itu terus maka jackie yang lama akan tergantikan dengan jackie yang baru, jackie yang mirip phryne.
kalo sudah spt itu apakah jika mereka berhasil menghidupkan zane kembali, zane bisa menerima keadaan jackie yang sekarang? bukankah yang dicintai oleh zane adalah kebaikan hati & senyum jackie.
jackie yang sekarang menakutkan. menakutkan & kejam. kekejaman yang menghalalkan segala cara termasuk mungkin akan tega membunuh sahabat baiknya sendiri demi halo tersebut.
perkataan remy mengenai jackie. tapi kematian zane benar2 meninggalkan lubang hitam besar dalam hati jackie. membuat jackie tidak lagi dapat berfikir jernih.
yang dapat dipikirkannya hanyalah bagaimana caranya menghidupkan zane kembali.
18 bulan tanpa zane adalah siksaan tiada akhir bagi jackie.
kehadiran noah tidak mampu nenutup lubang tersebut.
namun saat sudah menemukan halo tersebut, jackie tidak mampu membunuh sang pemilik halo.
omongan remy kembali mengingatkannya. jika jackie membunuh lalu apalagi yang akan tersisa baginya?
keputusan jackie untuk tidak membunuh sang pemilik halo akhirnya berbuah berkat.
archangel.... (kagak ingat namanya), juga mengalami hal yang sama dengan jackie.
sang archangel memilih menyepi di dunia manusia, jauh dari peradaban untuk mengobati patah hatinya.
sang archangel jatuh hati pada archangel.... (kagak ingat juga namanya), yang halo-nya sekarang berada di tangan demon.
karena tidak ingin halo kekasih hatinya berada ditangan demon & juga ingin membantu jackie, sang archangel bersedia membunuh si demon.
tapi membunuh demon bukan hal yang mudah. apalagi demon yang memiliki kekuatan halo seorang archangel.
di saat2 genting, jackie memanggil archangel gabriel.
jackie tau archangel gabriel akan menghancurkan demon tersebut. & karena menurut perjanjian jika jackie bisa membawakan 2 halo ke hadapan gabriel maka gabriel akan memenuhi permintaannya.
tidak perduli dikondisi seperti apa halo itu dibawa kehadapan gabriel, yang penting halo-nya nyampe ke tangan yang bersangkutan bukan???
gabriel jengkel pada jackie. setelah apa yang terjadi, jackie masih berani meminta permohonan padanya.
gabriel jengkel karena gara2 jackie seluruh vampire mati. yah gimanapun juga para vampire tersebut adalah saudara2 gabriel. gabriel masih menyimpan harapan suatu hari nanti para saudara kembali.
betapa kagetnya gabriel saat jackie menyebutkan permohonannya.
jackie ingin semua vampire & semua orang yang mati karna kelalaiannya hidup kembali.
gabriel jelas bahagia tapi ada 1 masalah, jika ingin vampire hidup dibutuhkan seorang anchor sebagai tonggak mereka.
queen of vampire adalah seorang demon & black magic, jadi tidak mungkin dihidupkan kembali.
karena itu siapa yang dapat menggantikan posisinya sebagai anchor para vampire?
jackie menawarkan dirinya menjadi queen of vampire yang baru.
jackie bersedia menanggung beban apapun, termasuk matanya yang berubah merah demi mendapatkan zane kembali.
menjadi queen of vampire kembali adalah harga kecil yang bersedia ditanggungnya jika itu berarti zane kembali ke pelukannya....
itu & dirinya dapat kembali menjadi jackie yang dulu & menjadi sahabat baik remy kembali....
& about noah, well ternyata sophie meninggalkan kesan mendalam pada noah.
karna sophie meninggal saat kerusuhan dengan queen of vampire, maka saat para vampire dibangkitkan kembali sophie pun kembali hidup, sesuai dengan janji jackie pada noah.
sekarang tinggal apakah noah & sophie memiliki jodoh untuk bertemu kembali.....
cerita ttg succubi sebenarnya tidak terlalu ku suka tapi jill myles menceritakan dengan sangat sempurna.
plus romance antara succubi & the fallen jelas tidak bisa ku lewatkan.
aq suka banget kalo zane manggil jackie "princess", seolah2 jackie adalah orang paling istimewa dalam hidup zane, seseorang yang zane rela mengorbankan nyawanya.
yahhh awalnya aq lumayan gondok waktu jackie memilih zane daripada noah tapi aq rasa jackie sudah memilih yang terbaik bagi dirinya.
bagi zane, jackie adalah hidupnya, nafasnya, dunianya.
sama spt jackie yang tidak akan dapat bertahan tanpa zane.
mereka saling melengkapi.
zane & jackie, his succubi, his princess & now his queen.....

This is review is for the entire series of Succubus Diaries novels.
In this third and final book of the series, everything is all wrapped up with a pretty bow. Unfortunately, it shows. In the Author's Note section, Jill Myles states that she had more tales to tell but the publisher put the kibosh on continuing the series. Thus, what we have is a rushed, harried novel that has events moving at warp speed. Indeed, a couple of chapters is preceded with a clear indication of a time jump. For all this, it's actually not as bad as one would think. Why you might ask? Because JM had done a fairly decent job establishing the players and the plot in the preceding two novels. Something she didn't do as well was show the evolving relationship between Jackie and Zane.
I was always neutral on Team Noah or Team Zane, but I just didn't see the deep, abiding love between the succubus and the vampire. If JM did write passages showing these two falling in love, I obviously didn't see it. Rather, it felt to me as though Jackie just decided OK, I pick Zane over Noah, without clearly establishing the reason why. [Yes, Jackie does tell Noah it's because he can live without her while Zane can't. But to me, that's pure fabrication because I sure didn't feel that to be true].
I liked that the author had the guts to present angelic beings as less than angelic. Too often, popular media portrays angels as characters of absolute goodness. Interesting to see a different portrait painted in this series. Kudos to Jill Myles.
I didn't really love or loathe any of the characters. The one person who did amuse and delight me more than anyone else was Remy. How clever of the author to give this succubus just the perfect profession! Remy was also fun and sassy and an all around great pal.
The storytelling was fine, but I suppose with more books it could have been great. The plot wasn't overly derivative and the prose was fairly good. As stated before, surprisingly, the truncated series wasn't as much a detriment as one would think. Still, if you're looking to read books in the PNR/UF genre, The Succubus Diaries only gets a marginal thumbs up from me.

Thought this series would be a little longer. Seems like the author wanted to do more with this series, but it was still a satisfying ending. Very good, actually. I'd recommend it; it's only 4 books, so if you're looking for a short and sweet series, give this one a try. Well, it's not always sweet, but it IS short, being only 4 books. :-)

Beautiful, hilarious, totally not what I expected, in a good way! Excellent conclusion to the Succubus Diaries. It made me bust a gut from laughter, it made me cry tears that I thought would never leave! It showed that when there's true love, nothing is impossible

A very fun series! The main character is a bit of a bimbo and likeable, as she stumbles around traps and powerful creatures. Easy to read. The other characters develop well, with the series wrapping up in a way you would not expect. I appreciated it's original flare.

I was so happy when I saw that there was finally another book out. I just love this series and was very excited to read this next book. I loved the story line and the ending it was perfect.

Wow! A great ending to the series! Didn’t expect things to go the way they did. Lots of great action and sizzling smut.
