These stories were good for a bit of amusement at times, some for smiles, others a mother in law bashing in a sense...understandable in those situations but overall it wasn't a hilarious collection or anything but I guess it wasn't intended to be; perhaps just me. Anyway, I did put sticky tabs on the six stories I did ones I did find quite funny. A glimpse of everyday lives for relatable matters and insight.... A few were touching. Never the less, my favourite of those type of short stories are in the Stories for the Heart ones; definitely powerful and stay with you for ages after!

Many of these stories are absolutely hysterical! I think there are more than one that the average person can relate to. I had the audio book version which I highly recommend, the narration was perfect.

I stopped reading Chicken Soup books a few years ago after I realized a lot of the stories were recycled by and from other books in the same series. It was a 'heartbreaking' moment for me since I really loved these true stories that could really lift your spirits.

However, last year I realized there were so many Chicken Soup books that I hadn't heard of so I decided to take a chance and buy one and I'm glad I did. I don't find any more recycled material (well, at least not yet)

This one is one of the gems in this series. I've always been a sucker for books about family and what better to spend the afternoon reading crazy tales about them. You'd laugh at most of the stories, and though none would make you cry, some would tug at your heart strings as they remind you of some relatives you miss.

The best thing about this book is, you realized your family is actually VERY normal.. well, in a strange kinda way =D

I read this book a little at a time, while waiting in lines, at doctor appointments, etc. I really enjoy the Chicken Soup books in general, but I also really enjoyed this one, in particular, because I can relate to some of the stories contained within. You may not be able to choose your family, but you can choose how you relate to your family. This makes me feel better about the family I do have. I recommend anyone read this that has the opportunity.

I know better, I know better, I KNOW BETTER than to pick up any of these "Chicken Soup" books. I'm marking this as read but really I skimmed it. America's fascination with overly sentimental rubbish is perverse, and only beleaguers us with such novelists as Mitch Albom- because they know their garbage will be bought. Stop the insanity, people!

This book is about the best book I've ever read. It's written in a simpler English which relaxes the mind at times when needed.Other than that the stories written are also fascinating little stories which you would have never come acrossed in your life and just by reading this book you will get to understand more about other families around the world.
