Almost broke... No. Make that completely broke, humiliated and ready to jump at any job that will pay. So when smart-as-a-whip blond bombshell and model Bridget Cole finds out Dr. Matthew Fox needs a CEO for his new textile company, Almost Naked, Inc., she practically jumps at the chance to teach him he can't live without her...well...services.
Altogether sizzling... Superserious - and seriously sexy - Matt is harboring very unscientific fantasies about Bridget and her luminous, touchable skin. It doesn't help that it looks so hot in the lingerie she whips up with his Almostnaked wonder fabric. But now her media campaign is destroying his reputation as a serious scientist and he's got to find a way to keep her mouth closed...maybe with his own.
Award winning, bestselling author Karen Anders is a three time National Readers’ Choice Award finalist, Romantic Times Reviewers Choice finalist and has won the prestigious HOLT Medallion. Two of her novels made the Waldenbooks Bestseller list in 2003. Published since 1997, she currently writes for the Harlequin Romantic Suspense line. Karen’s love of reading is what ultimately led her to writing romance.
Karen came to romance early when, at sixteen, her Valentino-loving grandmother gave her The Sheik to read. Ever since that day she devoured romance in all types of genres including: historical, western, fantasy, time travel, and science fiction. It wasn’t until she started reading contemporaries that she couldn’t find the type of books she wanted to read. That’s when she thought she would try her hand at writing one herself. Her fourth book Jennifer’s Outlaw written for Silhouette Intimate Moments sold in 1995 and was published in April 1997.
Karen then went on to sell to Harlequin Blaze in 2001 and her first Blaze was released in January 2002. She’s written 12 books altogether.
Karen is proud of her two daughters whom she raised as a divorced mom for 15 years. One is launched into the world and the other is attending college. Although she misses the beautiful mountains of her home state of Vermont, Karen moved to Northern Virginia is 1981 and then to Raleigh, North Carolina in 2006.
Karen loves to paint in both watercolors and Chinese Brush painting as just another creative outlet.

Bridget is a shallow bimbo! The author keeps trying to convince us that she is more than just a 'body' yet Bridget's actions don't cooperate... i.e. She strips in the middle of a gallery , because the artist says she wants to sketch a nude of her... She only thinks of spending money , jet-setting and modeling... In her late twenties she is being replaced by younger fashion models, yet she is still insisting that "one day she will be a supermodel" -?!!! WHEN?!? You are ready for retirement already!!! She keeps repeating that she doesn't want to be a failure - being a super model could hardly be called a failure, but since BRidget wasted all her modeling money - i guess she is somewhat of a failure... Instead of saving money, she wasted it all on her jet-setter lifestyle... When Matt points this out to her, she dares to make fun of him how he does nothing without a plan and how he needs to loosen up! Well guess what- at least he is doing well for himself and you are a broke, trashy has-been model! On the other hand, Matt is such a loser! The way he is described at the beginning- he seems like an old man, not a late twenties well-off professor! HE seems like a total bore... He has NEVER left Cambridge and unapologetically claims he doesn't even want to! He doesn't own jeans... He doesn't party.... He doesn't have friends.... Wow! Freak...
Finally their dilemma of wanting different things is resolved in 2 pages.. All of a sudden they BOTH change - he is willing to move with her to New York, but that's not necessary since SHE is willing to move to Cambridge and give up her career (that somehow got started up again in the meantime...) and be a designer (which is what she secretly wanted all her life...)
Cute quote: "I think you need space..." - "Space is for astronauts - i need you!"
I really enjoyed this book! Both the characters of Matt and Bridget were well developed and you were able to see the story from both of their perspectives. It was also a really cute romance story with very hot sex scenes! I loved the ending! A well written Harlequin.
