This was actually quite entertaining. Being an avid shitty PNR reader, I pretty much read anything with paranormal creatures, a bit humor and interesting characters.
This one was with dragons.
I will not lie. This book wasn't nearly as good as I had wanted it to be and neither was it particularly bright or emotional. The couple has sex in chapter one and then it's suddenly LURVE they're feeling. I didn't buy it. They had no emotional investment at all, they scarcely talked, and they didn't know each other before.
Apart from the rather sad couple, the story was actually quite nice. There are demons and fey and dragons in this world and they don't like each other (big surprise!).
A long time ago, there was a huge war between dragons and demons, and since then, dragons went into hiding, being thought of as extinct.
While I wasn't too impressed with the main couple, I actually liked the side characters, especially Kael, a water dragon who's always in a bad mood. The queen of the succubi and her relationship to her estranged husband was interesting too, and I'm looking forward to find out more about them in further installments of this series.
Oerall, this is a 2.5 star book, but I feel generous today so I rounded it up.
