Can a jilted bride find a second chance with her brother’s best friend?
KAYLEIGH I should be sunbathing in Mauritius. Instead, I’m at a beige desk in a beige Glasgow office, trying to pay off debt for a wedding that never happened. My attractive new boss keeps warning me about texting at my desk, but I don’t take him seriously. My little brother’s best friend has always been a stickler for following the rules, but he helped ruin my wedding day. He owes me. Then he gives me an move into his office and do my work phone-free or be fired. Now it’s not texting that’s distracting me. It’s him.
JORDAN I’ve always been Kayleigh’s biggest fan. But she’s never been mine, and the fact I had to deliver a devastating message on her wedding day didn’t help matters. Giving her a job was meant to appease my conscience and get her to notice me. Except she spends all day texting. My boss has made it clear I’m responsible for her mistakes, so I have no choice but to keep her close. I need to remind myself this is just a favour. Only the longer it goes on, the more I realise my heart didn’t get the memo.
The No-Texting Policy is a laugh-out-loud, closed-door romantic comedy. Expect some suggestive banter alongside sizzling tension you could cut with a knife – all without the explicit scenes.
4.5🌟 stars What I most liked: the characters are totally likable, relatable, in a situation that's all too believable, right down to Kayleigh's constant texting with her office colleague.
The brevity of this story did not reduce its impact. I thought it was all the better for keeping it sparse, focused on Kayleigh's hard times after her wedding suddenly falls through and her new boss Jordan's dilemma.
This was a sweet nugget, a little gem with more of an HEA than I expected.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the story; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.
I thank Author Niki Bell for this ARC and I am voluntarily this review. Kayleigh has a new job as a debt collector. What helps her get through the day is texting with her co-worker Ashley. Her boss is her brother's best friend. This should make things easier, right? Wrong! Besides having to hide whenever she's using her phone, she blames him for not getting married. Jordan is getting frustrated with Ashley slacking on the job. He has feelings but he will not get fired for her! Will these two ever work things out? This was a fun and quick read! I was glad that stubborn Kayleigh finally gave Jordan a chance to clear things up!
I liked how realistic this was. From a devastating beginning to the HEA we all want. It was a cute long time crush story. The book was easy to read and I finished it in less than an hour. The characters were easy to like, and their lives were easy to relate to as well. Definitely recommend this sweet short romance story.
I picked this up then forgot I was reading it so went back it it later Short and sweet and I was rooting for the HEA which gave me what I wanted Callum you scumbag
Was way shorter than I expected and was just about to get into it when I realised the book was more or less already over. But for something this short, it was very sweet. :)

You can always count on Nicki to come through with a short but cute romance. I loved Kayleigh and Jordan's dynamic and so looking forward to the next books in this new series.
