Another amazing installment to this series, I don't know how I am going to move on from this series when I am done reading the whole thing! It is kinda like eating the biggest chocolate but you know it will be finished soon and you have to savor every bite of it. I have 8 more volumes to go and I am finished, I can't believe it!

Don't ever lie, even if it's about your feelings.

If you don't know already, this book is about a girl named Misaki who is the school president of Seika High. She works as a part-time maid in a cafe and wishes for it to be kept a secret. But suddenly, Usui discovers this secret and Misaki's life changes. For the better or for the worse, she has to deal with Usui. The two of them go through so many different things and learn that it is okay to open up to others.

Misaki is so cute when she is blushing

This was a really painful read to be honest, compared to the other books. I was so used to the happy and fun reads that I forgot about anger and sadness. I read this volume and it hurt so much because of the confusion that Misaki went through. She is desperate to learn more about Usui and he isn't giving her anything. He isn't telling her anything and I just wish he would just tell her.

If I think about it, it is hard to keep everything inside. If you hide your feelings and keep everything inside, it will hurt even more. It is best to tell everyone how you feel, especially to those you care about. You shouldn't hide every part of your life and expect other people to open up to you. It isn't fair and it isn't right.

I was so upset with Usui, but at the same time I felt bad for Misaki. She has to go through so much and she is so confused. She wants to know but she is never given a straight answer and I hope that will change soon.

The other characters were amazing, Shintani is so awesome. Yukimaru makes me laugh but he wasn't in this volume a lot. I feel like the new sensei that was introduced in this volume might cause problems and I am not a huge fan of her. Kanou and Sakura are also awesome characters!

I forgot to say this in my review for Volume 8 or 9 but I love the game Paki :)

I highly recommend this series to those who want to start reading manga or want a light, fun read. I also highly recommend this to those who have watched the anime and want more of the characters. I was so relieved when I read this because we see more of how all of the characters move on and I love it! I'll be off to my reading spree now!

This one... wasn't great unfortunately. Started off super weird with an invitation for the new student council of Seika high to visit Miyabigaoka high which was... uncomfortable to say the least, then we had the introduction of a new [female] teacher at Seika high who has a weird fascination with Misaki alongside zero boundaries or regard for personal space.

It was nice to finally learn about Usui's background, and I truly enjoyed that part of the volume. But the rest... really brought it down unfortunately :/

Chapter notes below for reference: (spoiler heavy)

Usui's past is here and boy, am I a mess!

So, the bastard theory ended up being correct after all. It's tragic and complicated but surprisingly well-thought-out in some respects, which I wasn't expecting tbh. But this manga has surprised me with how smart it can be at times, and so major kudos!

I've been loving how much both Misaki and Usui have been progressing. Misaki is becoming more in-tune with her feelings by the day and reeling in her violent actions. Accepting how strong her feelings are becoming, getting jealous, and wanting him to open up are all steps in the right direction. And Usui was SO expressive in this manga! Both in his expressions and his words. He's saying more, and being more open with Misaki and it just warms my heart because these two need to find the balance and acceptance in each other to face all the challenges Usui's past and present are bringing. I've also noticed that he looked somehow even prettier in this volume. Go, author!

We haven't found out what Igarashi's deal is, yet. And Maria's involvement has been hysterical. A pissed-off Usui is always a pleasure to watch.

All in all, what a banger of a volume, made me scream, cry, giggle, and scream some more. And I will forever be in stitches because we keep using Usui's surname like it's his given name.

The story is kinda not much to me.Usui acting weird all of sudden in enemy school n doing as butler n distance himself away from misaki since misaki taking care of the new teacher who love misaki in secretly but already confess to her in public school.I was shocked n I thought she crushed on usui at first but is misaki. That new English teacher - that woman is usui relative. Igarashi is planning something - no wondered he hired that teacher to Seika high school. In the end usui n misaki alone talk things out n try understanding each other. Igarashi n misaki moment - interesting part that I love =) Shintani still loyal to misaki n always by her side, so cute in basketball tournament. Usui spill the bean already n tell misaki everything. Next Manga vol 11 pls.

Masa lalu Takumi diceritain nyeleneh sama orangnya sendiri XD. Beneran deh, Igarashi tuh kerjanya kompor terus. Di mana-mana ada dia ( ̄д ̄).

Kaichou wa Maid-sama! Vol. 10
by Hiro Fujiwara

3/5 stars

Hmm, how should I say it? The fact that the guy in the Seika High School is just full of being a pervert really disgusting me. I disagree with Misaki's suggestion for Maria Sensei to use more conventional clothes. I mean, it's the guy responsibility to restraint themselves.

Well, tbh, I didn't expect the twist at all about Maria Sensei is falling for Misaki. Sigh. In this volume, Usui is getting more and more suspicious, like suddenly he appeared as the butler from Maki's cafe? Why, tho? But yeah, in the next volume at least we will get the background story of Usui.

I've never made it past volume 6? Maybe 8? And I finally got my hands on every single issue so I did a mass re-read/catch up finally... So this is a review for the series as a whole. This was SO funny. I loved the relationship that Misa and Usui had, and the friendships that they all had with some of the other characters.

I enjoyed getting to watch them all grow and learn about themselves. There were a few matchups at the end that didn't really make any sense to me. But other than that this was a highly enjoyable series, and I can't wait to re-re-read it. (and then maybe update each review with volume specific notes)

OKAY SO if maid sama got a season two I would have literally LOST IT!!

like the anime itself was great but OMG idk why I didn’t pick up the manga sooner DHSHSJS there’s so much more development.

Also Maria being a giant simp for Misaki is totally understandable 😳 but she really just “striked” her to the point where Misaki was like alriGHT enough - bounds her hands and yeets away.

Honestly not even a bad au if Misaki was gay/bi bc honestly she hates men and I’m here for it! Like can we not harass the cute teacher KDVSHWHW

It feels like the artwork improved in a way, and anyhow what's the most important is the hint that we will learn about Usui's backstory! I have spoiled myself a bit about that after finishing the anime but I want to know the details ~

I’m annoyed with Misaki’s whole “protecting girls” thing, and Maria-sensei is weird and kinda rapey. Also, some parts didn’t make sense and I was confused. It was nice to learn about Usui’s past though, and I’m glad he’s opening up to Misaki.

Misaki praising and petting Hinata during the basketball game was so adorable. But it’s weird that Hinata is going to end up with Suzana when he seems so into her older sister. Finally, we get Usui’s backstory. I don’t know why he didn’t tell Misaki sooner.
