Ella Bowman is already feeling traumatized from her ex-boyfriend who was a serial killer. Now she has left her hometown in Nevada to spend time with her current Boyfriend Jake Love, who is the new Police Chief of Clemmington California. Jake decides to reopen the cold case of the murder of the owner of Vincent Winery, who was killed over a year ago and no one has been arrested.
Ella is helping Jake out with the evidence along with Jakes brother Detective Miles and their sister Lena who is a forensic technician.
There is a secret that Ella is holding back from Jake that connects her to the Vincent family who some are persons of interest in the murder investigation. Plus someone is stalking Ella sending threatening email and text messages along with attempts to hurt her physically.
This storyline was a page turner and had me baffled as to who committed the murder and the person I thought who committed the murders wasn’t the one and the person who was responsible I didn’t see that coming and never suspected them.
The characters were well developed and you could feel the emotions of each one.
I love reading this author’s mystery and suspense with some romance storylines. They always draws you right in from the beginning of the book and you just want to keep on reading to see what is going to happen next until the books ends.
This is the third book in this series which can be read as stand-alone. I highly recommend to read her other books.

This is the 3rd book in the “West Coast Crime Story Series.” This is an entertaining, fast-paced easy quick read with drama, action packed, mystery, mayhem, page turner, twists, turns, great characters and a plot that held me captive. Jake is the new sexy alpha chief of police and he and Ella who is girlfriend are hard at work solving a cold case at Vincent Vineyard. As I was reading and kept reading, I thought that I had come up with the culprit but came up short. Ella and Jake are great together and as the two continued working on the investigation Ella finds herself being threaten as the truth finally emerges. What makes a writer good at writing mystery and suspense is when you think that you have figured out the culprit only to come up short. Denise N. Wheatley did an awesome job keeping the readers on their toes and guessing and coming up short with the culprit. Can’t wait to see what Denise N. Wheatley has in store for the readers.

I received an ARC via the author, and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

While I'm looking forward to Wheatley's entry into medical romance, I'll miss her romantic suspense and hope she'll eventually write more.

Another wonderful addition to her West Coast Crime Story series, Homicide at Vincent Vineyard held me by the throat from the very intense beginning to the surprising ending. There was plenty of mystery the main character, Ella, was holding back that keeps the reader turning the pages to discover. And the love interest, Jake, was a dreamboat I could really root for. Loved seeing characters come together from the previous books as well, and be part of the investigation. It's truly a family business for the Loves.

On the other hand, the Vincent family was a whole mess but that didn't stop me from wanting to know who the killer was. I had guesses (and came pretty close), but the ending was truly satisfying and a little bit bonkers. I'm still thinking about that interrogation of the killer. What a ride.

Highly recommend for both you crime fiction afficionados and romance lovers out there.

I loved Homicide at Vincent Vineyard, the third book in Denise’s West Coast Crime Story series. Jake Love is the newly appointed chief of police wanting desperately to prove he’s the right man for the job. When new evidence emerges in his father’s cold case Jake finds himself at Vincent Vineyard trying to solve the murder of former owner Don Vincent. Ella Bowman is Jake’s girlfriend and she’s trying to keep secret her connection to the dysfunctional Vincent family. I absolutely love this series. Jake and Ella are a perfect match and their relationship is strong despite the circumstances and secrets. This fast paced thrilling story has so many twists and turns it will keep you hooked until the last page.

Great wrap up to the series. I enjoyed this twisted story. Newly Chief Jake Love decides to reopen a cold case into Don Vincent murder to find out who really murder him at Vincent Vineyard. It's his number one priority but doesn't set well with a wary Ella who is keeping a secret of her own. I loved the collaboration between Jake, Miles, Lena, Charlotte and Ella all working together to get answers to the unsolved crime. This story was entertaining and unique with a very unexpected twist that I didn't see coming especially when I thought I had figured out who the culprit was. From the first page I was hooked and didn't want the story to end. I received an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest review. The ending was sweet and satisfying and well worth the read. Great job Denise Wheatley!

Edge of your seat excitement.

This book kept getting better and better as I read it. It is a fast-paced story that I just couldn’t get enough of. I enjoyed seeing Ella and Jake’s relationship grow throughout the story, even though I thought it might all implode at one point. When it came to solving the crime, the killer came as a total surprise to me. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a good romantic suspense story.
