meh. it abbreviates and simplifies things that should not. To teach your cat to fetch, just call them and take the object from them when they drop it. Oh, okaaaaayyyy. Not super helpful. Useful if you want the abbreviated version.
What an excellent book! I refer to this book very often and it has helped me with many a 4-H project. Everything you need to know about kittens, from adopting one to feeding them to preventing pesky parasites from taking hold of your household (and your kitten!). Very user friendly. The information is up-to-date and complete. Highly recommended!
This book was so informative. Great for aspiring kitty owners.
When i first started reading this book it did mention to not read it all the way through as it is an instructional book where you can refer back to it if your kitten bumps into a problem, but however i wanted to read it all the way through so then if my kitten does come into something i will know how to deal with it pretty much straightaway. However i am not condoning reading it all the way through (to everyone) as it does get a little bit drawn out. Just read the chapters that you want to know about.
This book has helped me with understanding what really goes on with neutering/spaying and it gives you an in-depth description of what you can do to stop your kitty getting in more trouble than she already will.
I loved this book with a passion.
Out of a 10 i would rate this book a 8, i say this due to the fact i read it all the way through and it was a little drawn out - even though it was suggested not to - I truly belive this book will be a great help when/if it comes to medication issues or other.
I have had kittens before but I was much younger and not as concerned with training them. Since undertaking the adoption of two 10-week-old kittens who love to get into mischief together, this book has been very helpful with tips and information to stop me from regretting my decision and instead to deal with the mischief and train them. I often refer back to it as the progress through the stages of growth.
This is a really good book for someone just starting out on taking a kitten. It helps you even before you adopt with information on the different breeds and different places to find a new pet. Its written in an easy to read format that I'm sure will make it a very nice reference when I finally bring my kitten home.
If you are new to cats or kittens this book has some useful information. Being a dog person, when I adopted 2 kittens I needed some guidance. However some information is just common sense. Of course if you don't have common sense this book could come in handy but most likely you shouldn't be adopting anything at all except stuffed animals.
Great book if you're thinking of adopting kittens. I recommend you get it before adopting. An easy fun read with coloured inserts. Will be keeping as a reference for when our cat arrives home.
