Debbi Rawlins currently lives with her husband in Las Vegas, Nevada. A native of Hawaii, she married on Maui and has since lived in Cincinnati, Chicago, Tulsa, Houston, Detroit, and Durham, North Carolina during the past twenty years.
Now that she's had enough of the gypsy life, it'll take a crane, a bulldozer, and a forklift to get her out of her new home. Not that her friends would let her leave Las Vegas even if she wanted to. Debbi's home has become a retreat for writers from both coasts and her guest rooms are rarely empty.
This was so so bad. First of all, for a Harlequin Blaze title, the sex scenes were incredibly meh. I didn’t like either of the MCs and the MMC makes a weird comment about the last time HIS MOTHER had an orgasm that is so cringe. Yeah, no. Not for me.
They post this book under Red-Hot reads And it was RED HOT!! Really if you had 7 days of Sun and fun on a island, Whats not red hot about that. Carly go's to a singles island with her friend to have some Anonymous sex before she starts her new job as a school teacher. She's going to find something she wasnt looking for. Thats for sure. Who would ever think a childhood friend would be what she finds. Find she did. Rick has it all Good looks and wayu to much sexy sin all over him. What she going to do? I can't tell you that or i would ruin the book for you. But this book was a Hot and spicy read if there is one. Full of all kinds of yummy goodness *winks*
I really wanted to like Anything Goes but one thing stood in the way, the heroine Carly, her figitiness.
Carly has just graduated and before going to her small-town to teach and be the perfect preacher's daughter, she goes to a resort in the Caribbean to have a fling, where she meets Rick, someone she knew from her town years ago and who she had a crush on.
They have awesome chemistry and Rick wants to act on it but no, Carly doesn't. She doesn't want complications and honestly I didn't get her or like her. Rick was a good guy, chased her and she still couldn't decide what she wanted.
When she goes back to town, Rick follows and she acts like a brat and treats him like a dirty little secret. I wanted to tell Rick to move on and find someone who valued him instead of someone so selfish and self-absorbed.

A solid 3.5 stars -- wavered between loving this book and getting a little annoyed by Carly and Rick's issues....they eventually resolved it, but Carly in particular got a bit tiresome...
I got this book in a box at a garage sale and figured, meh, why not? I read anything, so I gave it a shot. I was a bit annoyed with this story to start with, as it seemed to be going on and on too long with the main characters eying each other off and mostly conversations and inner thoughts as to the why not get it on/what am I thinking, vein. After a while it picks up a bit, and we start to see that Carly really is a prude and just needs a good determined man to win her over for a hot sexual encounter, or two or three. Just to loosen her up and really make sure she knows who adores her hot body.
Having known Rick in her childhood she starts to realise, ooooh I could love him! Yep, I too, love a man who hounds me to death and interrupts conversations with other males I am having, turns up at the oddest places. I would call that stalking not love, but hey! I don't write romance novels!
I must admit, that Debbi's style is engaging and you do start to get into the story hoping there will be some big blow up (which never happens really, just small tiffs leading to hot sex later) Although I don't normally read this kind of summer romance stuff it was good enough in its own way. Story line is predictble but at least Debbi's writing skill is quite good. I would like to read some of her later stuff and see if it matured.
