Rate this book
She was a social worker returning an abandoned child to the father he'd never met. That done, Dawn Lounsbury planned to drive on to California and start a new life.

She hadn't reckoned on Evan Crane, wealthy farmer, father of a child he'd never known and refused to acknowledge without proof of parentage. Suddenly he was her jailer, her passionate nemesis, determined to keep her under his thumb until there was no further question. She should have hated him, should have run through the first open door, but he held her fast in his spell. Without warning, her well-ordered life was swept away and in its place was an ache of pure sensation. Why did she long for the one man she couldn't…shouldn't have?
