Didn’t really “read” this, since it’s a book of step-by-step drawings of birds. I have bought a copy and am working my way through it. Something new and different to do during quarantine.
Would have been nice to have a few words about how to transfer skills to other birds, e.g. tips on bird proportions, etc. to supplement the visual steps.
This is a fascinating book of sketches of birds. With 50 very different birds to choose from, there is plenty of options and techniques that people who are learning more about drawing can try to copy.
I love that there are several common birds we see at our home, so our girls can become more familiar with them. Our girls love to draw and they are always bringing these kinds of books from their elementary school library. They are far better artists than I ever could be. They even created a book of the drawings they made from this book.
