Secrets, a novella by J.F. Gonzalez, is an exciting and suspenseful story with some beautifully crafted twists and surprises. This horror / thriller takes place over the course of one night at a snowed-in secluded bar in the middle of nowhere. Author Gonzalez introduces us to a handful of characters, each with something to hide, and begins to let loose one shock after another.
As each dirty secret is revealed, the tension and paranoia continue to build to a breathtaking finale that should please fans of both the horror and thriller genres. So as to not give anything away, I can assure you that once you start reading this book, you will find it extremely difficult not to finish it in one sitting. Secrets is a fast-paced thrill-ride that will have your heart pounding as fast as the characters’ in the book.
Very enjoyable novella from J.F. Gonzalez, a quick read with many twists and turns. It was very difficult not to read it in one sitting, if you enjoy a good thriller/horror seek this one out, its worth it.
