About the author

I'm a writer, photographer, artist and musician and play guitar and Gaelic wire harp. I am also a tarot reader, an astrologer and a Druid. My life has been exciting and varied, encompassing many different occupations including barmaid, farm hand, teaching English as a foreign language in Istanbul and working with teenagers in an inner city school, plus travel to countries such as Iran, Greece, Turkey and Afghanistan. I studied for a BA Honours degree in graphic design at art school and hold an HNC in Photography and Digital Imaging. I've lived in the Middle East, Cyprus, Germany, Holland and Brittany and now live with my partner and family in the beautiful city of Oxford, England.

Thanks to this book, I encountered for the first time the world of paganism, witchcraft, rituals, deities, and the phases of the moon. This book drew me in, changed me, and turned my world completely upside down.
Because of it, I set out on the path of witchcraft and a belief in myself—and in the magic of the world and the universe. Through this book, I discovered how deeply everything and everyone is connected. And thanks to this book… I began to awaken.
I’m grateful it ended up in my hands at the library back then, when I was barely a teenager. And I’m also thankful to my older brother, who, after seeing how obsessed I was with it, bought it for me as a Christmas gift.

I could definitely tell this author was British, because there are several instances of how different the practice of witchcraft is in Britain vs. here in the States. She has beautiful invocations and fantastic info, but I did have to translate her moon phases to match my moon phases. Otherwise, I did get quite a bit of good info from this book on lunar rituals.
