I would actually round of this up to 3 1/2 stars. Some of the essays in this book were a slog, but most of them were great and really made me think. I especially loved the article on Isis, and the one on goddesses and women in native American history.

This book encompassed so much and yet not enough at the same time!

I really enjoyed that each “chapter”, or essay, was contribued by a different person with a different perspective, and yet how cohesive it was. Many sides to one coin. It was inspiring and a beautiful representation of where modern day feminism should be heading.
