My second full-time job of late is volunteering - The Junior League of Cleveland, the Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio Race for the Cure, and Women in Sports and Events. Anyone who has worked with volunteers, or even personally volunteered understands that there is a distinction between employees and volunteers. Thsy must be treated quite differently. This books helps clarify how adopting a servant-leader mindset will not only help in attracting volunteers, but in retaining those you currently have and in making their volunteer experience as valuable for them as it is for the organizations they assist.

Great insights into servant leadership that goes beyond working with volunteers. This one will need a "slow" re-read and some practice with the exercises at the end of each chapter.
