Dragon Blood is the fourth and final book in the *now complete* fast-paced YA fantasy Legacy of Dragons series. If dragon shifters, snarky characters, twisting mysteries, undiscovered magic, and a slow burn romance are your thing, the epic world of Legacy of Dragons is one you won’t want to put down!
Sean Fletcher was born in the broiling, arid state some people lovingly refer to as Texas. He is the Amazon bestselling author of YA fantasy, in addition to other forthcoming books whose characters will not give him a moment's peace until they get their turn in the spotlight. When not making things up and putting them on paper, he can be found hiking, biking, or traveling, sometimes all at the same time.

An awesome ending to what has been a very thrilling series full of dragon-kin, slayers and now a dragon. Tyrus has been freed and he is on the move, he wants Astrid and Kaden to join him as they are the only two full dragon shifters however they refuse and he is coming for them and the convocation. They are running out of options as they see many who they had thought of as allies turning and becoming cultists of Tyrus, wanting to be on the winning side. However Ingrid turns up and she is ancient, and has experience with killing dragons, and she is on their side even though she is a slayer and Kaden is forced into accepting that only with Nico, his nemesis on their side can they win against such a mighty foe as Tyrus. Kaden has lost his dragon power and being the slayers bane he refuses to accept to work with Nico but needs must. Holly, Randy, Yuki and others all play their part in putting an end to the terror and bloodshed Tyrus has brought about. I really enjoyed the thrill of the chase and the final battle up in the mountains where all involved risked their lives in order to protect everyone else. I also loved that their was a bit of romance thrown in to lighten the tension as secrets are exposed and many are made vulnerable.
Before posting the review, I must confess that this is the only book in this series, that I have read to the best of my knowledge. The book starts some centuries ago with a young woman named Ingrid who took on the mission of killing Real dragons because they had murdered her entire family. In the current era, Kaden is a dragon shifter who has lost his powers to totally shift with the capacity to use black magic. Kaden is strongly attracted to another shifter named Astrid who lacks confidence in herself. The major threat that looks is the destructive presence of Tyrus, a Real dragon who wants all the power and magic for himself. In this mission, he is aided by his own army of cultists.
Allying themselves with Dragonkin, and other groups that they would never associate with, Kaden, Astrid and their allies, yes, even their biggest foe, Nico, will do everything in their power to terminate permanently Tyrus.
The author uses his gift to virtually take the reader on a continuous action filled adventure where personal feelings will have to be put aside for the common goal, powers will be discovered as well as heightened, treachery, lack of support from the governing faction, open mindedness, courage as we ll as strength will play a key role in the conclusion results of the mission. I recommend this book and rate it the maximum 5 Stars
I like this author's work so much and one of the main reasons, beside the real talent he has to make you see the story in 5D, is his capacity to bring the characters' humanity to the forefront while coating them in action and suspense - you can feel their torment, understand their motivations, taste their tears and participate in their triumph or defeat. They react well or bad to the threat, but you can still empathize with them, and I felt I had to ask myself honestly: what would I do? It makes you really appreciate the incognito heroes we never even know about.
Great adventure, interesting characters, wonderful imagination, love stories and a talent with words - who can ask for more in a book? Well done, Mr. Fletcher!!! Very well done.
Dragon Blood is the fourth and final book in the wonderful Legacy of Dragons series. I recommend that these books are read in order as they are a continuing series.
This book brings the series to a dangerous and dramatic conclusion as Karen and Astrid battle to defeat the dragon Tyrus. With their friends and fellow dragon kin by their side they have to trust their enemies at a time when even their allies cannot be trusted.
Incredible characters and a tremendous storyline bring this book to life and you can easily imagine the entire series on the big screen. I thoroughly enjoyed it and definitely recommend it to all fans of this genre.
This has been an incredible series and as we line up for this finale book, take a deep breath then dive on in as you will once again find yourself totally lost into this incredible world that the author has built for us. It’s a magical and fantastical world that enthrals you and captivates from the get go as we once again follow these extraordinary characters on their quest to take down Tyrus. Exciting and action packed as Astrid and Kaden do what they can to save the day in this epic fantasy finale. I’m sad to see it end but the author has done a fantastic job bringing it all to a close.
I dived into this having read the first three books and desperate to know what happened after the events of book three. You’re thrown into the action, and Fletcher pulls you alone with all the twists and turns. New characters, arcs that come full circle and keeping you hooked to every single word. By the end of it, you’re feeling like you fought the battle yourself, and it was just perfectly crafted to be satisfying in the best way. Having read other Fletcher books, I knew I was going to be in for a great ride, and I was no disappointed. Loved it, highly recommended!
Great ending to a good series. I loved meeting Ingrid and getting some more information about the Oracle and Dragon powers in general. There seems to be a really big world created for this and the previous series that could be built off of even more.
Sean Fletcher’s usual high standard, full of action and cliff-hangers. I definitely didn’t see the story ending for Kaden, what a surprise! Can’t wait to see what Sean writes next.
An intriguing story of magic and a dangerous dragon. How will anyone be able to fight him and win. A story with incredible characters that are strong and lead you into their lives.
What a great and epic conclusion to the series! I really enjoyed reading this, it was a very engaging and wonderful book, as well as a great way to end the series.
I was lucky enough to have gotten a ARC copy of this book from the author. I am volunteering to leave this review. Fantastic book plenty of twist and turns. Love suspense spread through out the book. If you like dragons you will love Sean Fletcher.
Dragon Blood concludes the epic Legacy of Dragons series by the fantastic Sean Fletcher.
Kaden and Astrid, as dragon-kin, would seem the natural choice to lead the impending battle against Tyrus, but will it be enough? Allies come from the strangest places, and the engaging interactions between them develop into a riveting plan of action, as old rivalries and hatred are put aside, to concentrate on ending the greatest threat any of them have ever met.
Guaranteed to grip you firmly by the imagination throughout, don't delay in getting a copy of Sean Fletcher's great fantasy-thriller, Dragon Blood, as soon as you can!
Received as an ARC, I am leaving my honest review. This finale is so epic you will not soon forget how Astrid, Kaden and the rest of the dragon kin and even the Slayers fought with heroic efforts to defeat Tyrus, and save their kind from destruction. You will be drawn into the story with intrigue, then find yourself reading chapter after chapter of heart pounding action and nail biting moments as the plans are put into place. There are a few surprise characters that will keep you cheering them on, as the unthinkable happens that will create an awesome ending
