Tanto ranas y sapos usualmente no figuran entre los animales más bonitos, interesantes o que gustaría tener como mascotas para la mayoría de las personas. No obstante, estos animalitos vienen en distintos rangos de tamaños, formas y colores que varias especies bien pueden considerarse bonitas, empero, absolutamente todas son fascinantes por méritos propios tanto por las adaptaciones a sus medios, fisiología, importancia ecológica y por el simple hecho de ser un ente vivo cumpliendo un papel en este mundo.

Por medio de preguntas de diversa índole (que tipo de animal son, comportamiento, importancia, su relación con humanos, y problemas a los cuales se enfrenta), lamentablemente, considero el libro tiene tres fallos:
- No hay fotografías a color, y eso que algunas ranas son estéticamente muy llamativos.
- En ocasiones se repite la información en más de dos ocasiones, ya que parte de una respuesta puede encajar perfectamente en otra pregunta a lo “cuál es la distribución de las ranas y sapos “ y “en qué lugares no viven ranas y sapos”, lo hubiesen estructurado de otra forma.
- Pero lo más grave es, no siento logre despertar en el lector un deseo por conocer y comprender más a estos animalitos.

Si realizaran una segunda edición, se agradecería intentaran cambiar los tres anteriores puntos, ah y actualizar algunos links de cuyas páginas ya no existen o cambiaron de url.

En conjunto, no es un mal libro para alguien que quiera informarse pero no lo usaría como única fuente, por desgracia no puedo sugerir una alternativa.
