Portsmouth's 6.57 crew were the most talked about casual football firm of the 1980s and 1990s. This notorious gang took their name from the time of the train they caught to games, following their team around the country with the kind of dedication - and violence - that only a true hoolifan knows. Now, for the first time ever, the amazing story of the firm is revealed.
This book is full of hypocrisy and jealousy. Note to author: Henry V army that fought and won at Agincourt and goes down as Englands most stunning land victory ever was actually launched from Southampton. I know this must break your heart sorry.
Whist not particularly well written, this book gives, for me, a fascinating insight into the world of 70s and 80s football violence. The interviews with some of the key characters of the era are incredible, hearing about how it was as much about the clothes as the violence. Disturbing, brutal, honest, funny - you get you money's worth!
