In the years since Problem-solving in Groups was first published it has become a classic text, being adopted on courses in many countries around the world and translated into ten different languages. This new, third edition brings the subject firmly into the 21st century. It has long been established that groups are likely to solve many problems more successfully than individuals - with this book Mike Robson provides the reader with the tools and techniques to make this process transparent and effective. Readers who already know the book will be pleased to see that the overall process remains the same while the examples have been updated to reflect changes that have taken place in the world of business since the previous edition came out in 1993. Importantly new chapters have been added on working with virtual teams and the facilitation of groups, recognizing the ever-increasing role of both. The overall process, and the individual techniques that are covered in detail, are applicable to people working at all levels who are interested in working together to improve the performance of their organization and to ensure that problems are solved permanently. Author Mike Robson began his career in sales and marketing with Unilever. He then established MRA International which became a leading consultancy in the field of the development of organisations and their people. He has written numerous books on the subjects of employee involvement and organization development and has made videos on these subjects which have been featured on national television.
