Ouch. Eric Standop started off so well with his first book. I‘m a huge fan of body language, rhetorics etc. and the art of face reading of course fit in there.

There may very well be some scientifical truth to one‘s face, to the face shape, the size of the lips, the eyelids, each line in the skin.

This book served as a follow-up, not only analyzing what is there but trying to make assumptions about one‘s future and life‘s purpose. Aka judging from your face, what is your meaning in life?

In order to define that Eric uses titles like „witch“ or „king“. Which, alone, already says enough. I always liked to read books on human psychology but spirituality? Attempting to tell people what they‘re supposed to do with their lives? Nah, no thank you.

Everybody is his own person. Everybody has individual needs, wishes, distastes and dreams. In my opinion nobody is entitled to tell another person how he is supposed to live. And if your target audience are people who buy your book because they TRULY are lost in their lives and need guidance - you‘re just preying on them. Simple as that.

Listen, it‘s entertaining if you want a good laugh and figure out your life purpose as a joke. Like all the „What kind of bread am I“ quizzes. But don‘t take this seriously.
